Weekly Korea: Chinese Communist Party Harvests Organs and Cremates Bodies of Victims

Aug. 21, 2006

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 17, Weekly Korea reported on recent progress investigating the allegations that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) harvests organs from Falun Gong practitioners and then cremates the bodies to destroy the evidence.

The article said that former Canadian Member of Parliament David Kilgour and international human rights layer David Matas pointed out in the "Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China," that the Chinese Communist regime ordered harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale.

The article said the Canadian report documented testimony of a Chinese witness, "Annie": Her surgeon husband removed corneas from 2,000 live Falun Gong practitioners. She also said that these practitioners were alive and sent to operation rooms after anesthesia, where doctors removed their corneas, hearts, kidney and livers, in that order. The bodies were then stitched closed and sent to a crematorium.

According to Annie, these practitioners were detained without record of name or location of birth. So when they were sent to crematorium, no one will go to claim their bodies, which were labeled as "No Heart Beat" or "Heart Anesthesia."

In addition, the Canadian report also phone interviewed major Chinese hospitals which perform organ transplant operations and consequently confirmed that the atrocities of organ harvesting do exist.

The Canadian report also documented the following evidence:

A staff member from an organ transplant center said that the hospital has more than 10 "beating hearts." The investigator then asked if that statement means "live suppliers." The staff replied "Yes. That is right."

When asked, "We hope the kidney is fresh, for example, from a Falun Gong practitioner. Do you have that?" A staff member from another hospital replied, "No problem." [Note: the caller posed as a potential organ recipient.]

Regarding this issue, an official in charge from Parliament Member Park Jae Wan's office said, "According to overseas media reports, the possibilities for the Chinese Communist Party to harvest organs from live people is very high and our country shall not ignore this."
