1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] More Information on 19 Illegally Arrested Dafa Practitioners
Nineteen Dafa practitioners were illegally arrested in Honglang Park on Andao Street, the Heping Neighborhood District, Harbin City; The arrest took place on the afternoon of August 10, 2006. Arresting officers were from the Haxi Police Department and from the Nangang National Security Division. They took the practitioners to the Nangang Police Department in Harbin City.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhao Hongwu Brutally Tortured at the Hulan Prison
Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Hongwu is being held at Division 15 at the Hulan Prison in Harbin City. He was held in a solitary confinement cell for 23 days; for 16 of those days he was handcuffed and shackled onto the concrete floor in a spread-eagle position so he could not move. His genitals ulcerated after being locked in the dark and damp cell for 23 days. He could not sleep due to pain.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Shahekou District Procuratorate Attempting to Illegally Try Dafa Practitioner Mr. Guan Yue
Dafa practitioner Mr. Guan Yue from Dalian City was arrested at work on June 2, 2006. His home was later ransacked. The police issued an arrest warrant on June 28. The Shahekou District Procurotorate is presently planning to prosecute Guan Yue.
Guan Yue’s child is less than one year old. His wife left home to avoid further persecution.

4. [Jilin Province] Dafa Practitioners Ms. Zhou Xiang and Mr. Liu Zhenxing Arrested
Several days ago, Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhou Xiang and Mr. Liu Zhenxing from Tumen, Yanji City, were arrested by police who had been lying in wait for them at a group Fa study site.
5. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Ma Xiaohua Again Arrested
About nine officers from the Fendou Police Department, including Dong Shaolong, broke into the home of Dafa practitioner Ms. Ma Xiaohua from Jiamusi City. It happened around 4:00 p.m. on August 2, ten minutes after Ma Xiaohua arrived home from work. The persecutors arrived in one police car and two taxis. They arrested Ma Xiaohua and Ms. Yu Fuhua, who was visiting, and also confiscated many Dafa books. Another practitioner escaped with the power of righteous thoughts. Ma Xiaohua and Yu Fuhua are now being held at a detention center.
Officer Dong Shaolong has ransacked Ma Xiaohua’s home and arrested her many times. A previous arrest occurred at Ma Xiaohua's home around 4:00 p.m. on January 11, 2006. Ms. Ma had a heart attack after the police assaulted her, but the police completely ignored her condition and took her to the Jiamusi Detention Center. The detention center authorities refused to accept her because of heart disease and high blood pressure, and therefore Ma Xiaohua was able to return home
6. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioners Ms. Wang Li and Ms. Li Huiying Oppose the Persecution with a Hunger Strike After Arrest
The police arrested Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Li and Ms. Li Huiying from Youyi County, Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province. The practitioners had been distributing copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and Falun Gong truth clarification materials. The arrest occurred at the residential apartments of the Youyi County Salt Company on the evening of August 10, 2006. The police broke into Wang Li and Li Huiying’s homes later that evening and ransacked them. They took several copies of the Nine Commentaries. The two practitioners are now being held at the Youyi County Detention Center and have been on a hunger strike for five days to protest the persecution.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Zhizhong Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Zhizhong, of the Hui ethnicity and from Changchun City, is 42 years old. Wang Zhizhong was reported and arrested on June 27, 2006 when clarifying the truth at the Longxing Commercial Park in Changchun City. Officers from the Changtong Police Department in Changchun City arrested him, confiscated Dafa books, truth clarification materials and more than 100 copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party from his home.
Wang Zhizhong has been sentenced to one year of forced labor. It’s unknown where he is being held at the moment.

8. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Yang Huli Living in Exile for Over Four Years
Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Huli, who used to work at the Huaian County Traffic Control Bureau in Zhangjiakou City, has been persecuted since April 2002 for refusing to "reform." Yang Huli was arrested and taken to county and city brainwashing centers. After he escaped with the power of righteous thoughts, he could not return home due to the police lying in wait for him at his home. He has been living in exile since.
Officials from the county's 610 Office and from Yang Huli’s work place have constantly harassed Yang Huli’s parents, brothers and sisters at their homes since 2002. The authorities have been searching everywhere for Mr. Yang. Yang Huli’s wife had no choice but to take her one-year-old daughter with her and live in exile. Their eight-year-old son was sent to live with his fragile and sickly grandparents.

9. [Tianjin] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Sun Shuping Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
Dafa practitioner Ms. Sun Shuping from the Nankai District, Tianjin was sentenced to two years of forced labor and is now being held at the Dagang Women’s Prison, where she is being persecuted.
More than 300 Dafa practitioners were arrested in Tianjin in the first six months of 2006.
10. [Aohan, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yang Wenxia and Her Son Arrested
Police at the Aohan Flag Hospital arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Wenxia around 2:00 p.m. on August 10, 2006. They also arrested her son Yang Yang. It has been reported that he was taken to Chifeng to be persecuted.

11. [Tianjin] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wu Huirong Arrested
Ms. Wu Huirong, from the Nankai District, was arrested by police some time between August 6 and August 12 while distributing truth-clarification materials.
12. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Chang Zhenying and Others Arrested
Dafa practitioners Ms. Chang Zhenying, Ms. Dong Yanjun, Li Dianfu, Ms. Dai Fengting, and Ms. Zhang Xiuyun were arrested at 9:00 a.m. on August 14, 2006. They were taken to the Laishui Custody Center. The police from Laishui County, Baoding City were on their way to Wangge Township when they arrested the practitioners.
13. [Jilin Province] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liang Yanjun Holds Hunger Strike at the Yinmahe Labor Camp in Jiutai to Protest Persecution
Li Shubo, an officer from the Lianhua Township Police Department in Shulan City, Jilin Province called Dafa practitioner Mr. Liang Yanjun to the police department at around 5:00 p.m. on June 29, 2006. He then ransacked Liang Yanjun’s home but only found old cassette tapes from several years ago in shoeboxes in the closet. Li Shubo wanted to find more things, so he brought police officer Dong Changchun. They went through Liang Yanjun’s home again. They didn’t find anything this time, either.
Liang Yanjun was interrogated for a whole evening. He was taken to a detention center on the morning of July 21. Liang Yanjun is currently being held at Yinmahe Labor Camp in Jiutai, Jilin Province. He is holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

14. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Dafa Practitioners Ms. Sun Fengqin and Ms. Cao Yanchun Arrested by 610 Office Agents
The police arrested Dafa practitioners Ms. Sun Fengqin and Ms. Cao Yanchun on August 5, 2006. They were taken to the Fushan Detention Center. Sun Fengqin’s family went to visit her but they were prevented from meeting with her.

Zhang Shaorong and Gai Hao have sentenced more than 25 Dafa practitioners to prison and labor camps in the past few years. Some of these practitioners are teachers, students and elderly people. One practitioner died from persecution.
15. [Shandong Province] Follow-up Report on Arrest of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhan Lihua
Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhan Lihua from Zoucheng, Jining, Shandong Province was reported and arrested in Xiaohu Village in a suburban region.
Zheng Li, head of the 610 Office Political and Security Division at the Jidong Police Department, Zhou Guangming from the Security Section at the Railroad Transportation Division and others ransacked Zhan Lihua’s home and confiscated her computer, printer and Dafa books. Zhan Lihua’s son tried to reason with the police, but the police handcuffed him to a heating pipe in the front office for four hours.
Zhan Lihua went on a hunger strike at the custody center to protest the persecution. Two days later, officers at the Railroad Transport Division secretly released her, but they followed her, watched her and harassed her at her home. Sometimes they didn’t let her leave home. Zhan Lihua eventually left home at the end of June 2006, to avoid further persecution. The police threatened her family in order to find her. Lu Jihua, deputy head of the Security Section at the Railroad Transportation Division, and others arrested Zhan Lihua on July 20 at her sister’s home in the east suburb of Qufu. They sent her to the Jinan Forced Labor Camp.

16. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Qiongling Arrested; Police Tried to Extort Money From Family
Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Qiongling from Lidu Town, the Jialing District, Nanchong City, Sichuan Province was arrested by local police on August 13, 2006. The police arrested Liu Qiongling’s husband, in his 60s, and forced him to stand outside in the sweltering heat for two days. They also tried to extort 20,000 yuan of so-called "guarantee money" from Liu Qiongling’s family before they would release her.

17. [Dazhou, Sichuan Province] Dafa Practitioner Wang Qiongzhen Arrested
Practitioner Wang Qiongzhen was among those arrested by the Wanyuan City National Security Bureau and "610 Office" in Wanyuan City, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. The arrest happened at noon on August 13, 2006. She was sent to a brainwashing center inside Wanyuan City's Normal School in Wanyuan City.
18. [Hunan Province] Dafa Practitioner Tang Sibao Disappeared After Returning From Arrest
Dafa practitioner Mr. Tang Sibao, who worked at Changfeng Corporation, was arrested from home. Responsible for the arrest were officers from the Yongzhou City police. The arrest happened around July 8, 2006. The police ransacked his home and took a computer, printer, CD burner, Dafa books and Teacher’s pictures.
Two days later, someone saw Tang Sibao returning home. His hands were purple from being handcuffed for a long time. He disappeared the next day. His current whereabouts are unknown.
