(Clearwisdom.net) In the process of cultivation, "Minghui Weekly" was very helpful to me. As I read fellow practitioners' cultivation stories and experiences, I could compare myself with them and find shortcomings of my own. I also acquired much encouragement and enlightenment. Until now, however, I had never thought of submitting my own article to Minghui, because I always thought that there was a gap between those practitioners who submitted articles and me. This lack of confidence always held me back. Now I have suddenly enlightened to that. Isn't submitting articles to Minghui also a form of validating Dafa? Since every practitioner has the responsibility of validating Dafa, I thought that I also should write down some of my understandings. I'll use the following example to show my understandings. If anything is inappropriate, please point it out to me.
Believe Firmly In Master, Cultivate As We Work, Have Righteous Thoughts and Actions
One Sunday in November 2005, I was taking my wife, also a practitioner, on my motorcycle to the school where she teaches. While there, I walked into a classroom of fifth graders, and I suddenly wanted to clarify the truth to the students. I wrote "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance; Deceptiveness, Wickedness and Violence" on the blackboard and asked the students, "Of these characters, which three are good?" The students all answered, "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are good." I then told the students the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong and the meaning of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." I also taught them to say quietly, "Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance is good" and gave them Dafa amulets. That afternoon, when these students went home, some of them showed their parents the amulets. The parents asked them where they came from, and the students told them. Since a few parents did not know the truth, they called the local authorities and reported that some teacher had taught Falun Gong in class. The local authorities and police station pressured the school and forced the principal and teachers to collect the amulets. They also did an investigation in the community and stopped my wife from teaching her classes. After a few days, my wife and I went to the students' homes to talk to their parents and clarify the truth. The parent who reported us again called the police station and said that we were passing out Falun Gong materials. The police arrested us on our way home. That same day, we were put in a detention center.
After we were taken to the detention center, I thought about it deeply, tried to find the gaps in my cultivation, and analyzed the whole process. I looked back on all of my thoughts, moves, and words, and measured them with Dafa to look for the reason. Yes, after I clarified the truth to the students, I became engrossed. I did not tell the students what to say if their parents asked them about the amulets. Secondly, my righteous thoughts were not strong enough and I did not clear the evil factors in other dimensions around the school and in the students' homes. Thirdly, I had the attachment of fear, which the old forces took advantage of.
Once I realized my shortcomings, I adjusted the thoughts in my mind and remembered what Master taught us in Hong Yin Vol. II (Translation Version A):
"When disciples have ample righteous thoughts,
Master has the power to turn back the tide."
I then insisted on sending forth righteous thoughts for long periods of time every day to totally reject everything arranged by the old forces, to disintegrate all of the dark minions and rotten demons, and elements of the Communist evil specter in other dimensions, which are controlled by the old forces, and to let all the evil plans to persecute us be completely disintegrated and destroyed. At the same time, I clarified the truth to save sentient beings. Master has told us,
"...no matter which beings they are or how huge the mistakes and sins they committed in history, as long as they do not play a negative role with regard to the Fa-rectification, I can give them benevolent solutions and eliminate their sins and karma." ("Turning the Wheel Towards the Human World")
Although the people here violated the law and made mistakes, some of them committed crimes only because they were temporarily confused. Thus, I must clarify the truth to them and save them. During the time I was in the detention center, I was able to help 18 people understand the truth, and they all quit the CCP. Just like this, with the protection of Master and help from fellow practitioners, we left the detention center with dignity and righteous thoughts.
