Thailand: Introducing Falun Dafa on PuJi Island (Photos)

Oct. 11, 2007 |   By a practitioner in Thailand

(Clearwisdom.net) From September 26 to October 1, 2007, a number of Falun Dafa practitioners from Thailand went to the famous tourist site on PuJi Island to introduce Falun Dafa. They wore T-shirts with the words "Falun Dafa Is Good," carried display boards on their backs, and held pamphlets in their hands. As they walked to the tourist site, they handed the pamphlets to people. They pasted stickers with the words "Falun Dafa Is Good," and "The Worlds Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" on the glass doors of many stores, and offered beautifully made paper lotus flowers to the store owners.

On the morning of September 27, practitioners went to PuJi Park. They set up their display boards, placed materials on the ground, and then hung banners reading "Humanity Needs 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance'" and "Learn Falun Dafa Exercises Free of Charge." When they began to practice the exercises, many passersby came over to find out what they were doing. Most of them had not heard about Falun Dafa before. When they saw evidence of the brutal persecution of practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on the display boards, they stopped to ask why this was going on. Practitioners answered their questions and told them that the CCP is evil.

Many people came to learn how to practice the exercises. One man came two days in a row. When learning to do the fifth exercise, he said, "This practice is really miraculous. I can enter into a state of deep tranquility immediately." Even though his movements were not precise, he had experienced the mighty power of Falun Dafa. A woman who was walking her child home from school saw practitioners in the park and learned to practice on the spot. After practicing, she insisted on driving practitioners back to their hotel because she was so grateful. She also bought a copy of Zhuan Falun in the Thai language. She held the book with both hands and said emotionally, "I've obtained a precious gift."

Practitioners went to shopping centers and shops to give owners materials and paper lotus flowers. People held the lotuses with both hands and made the Heshi gesture (conjoining the hands in front of the chest) to practitioners. Some people immediately hung the lotuses in a high position, and others placed them in a clean plastic bag to take them home. At coffee shops, owners played the music CDs that practitioners gave them, and many people came to listen to the music. The pure, beautiful music that Falun Dafa practitioners have composed cleanses people's hearts and souls.

Practitioners also went to stores, restaurants, and places where Chinese tourists stopped for a short break. There they handed out copies of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to the tourists and told them website addresses that could break through the CCP's Internet blockage. Some tourists said they had received a VCD of the Nine Commentaries when they were in China and that the content was great. Tour guides also came to listen to practitioners clarify the facts. They said they had met Falun Dafa practitioners in Bangkok and took materials from them also.

Practitioners took a boat to Phi Phi Island. The embarkation point was heavily damaged by the tsunami, but new houses had been built and trees had grown back. On the winding road, practitioners lined up single file. Those at the front carried display boards introducing Falun Dafa, and those behind played Falun Dafa music. Tourists from China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand took materials from the practitioners. Practitioners also took a small boat around Phi Phi Island. They held the display boards on the boat, and tourists made a thumbs-up gesture to them in response.

Practitioners had the sincere wish to bring Falun Dafa's blessings to people on the island.
