(Clearwisdom.net) At 10:00 p.m. on October 13, 2007, Sun Huihou from the 610 Office in the Lixia District in Jinan City, Ding Mou from the "610 Office" in the Shanda District, and Sun Dacheng from the Yanshan Residential Committee barged into Ms. Zheng Ying's residence. They told her that she had not completed her term in the Shandong Women's Forced Labor Camp. They ordered her to sign a labor camp notification document and tried to take her away. Ms. Zheng Ying did not cooperate with them. They said that they would give her two days to do so and threatened to take her away at any time. She is currently under house arrest.
Below are some details regarding the persecution of Zheng Ying:
Ms. Zheng Ying, in her 50s, is a Falun Gong practitioner from Jinan City. She is a retiree from the Shandong University Printing Factory (originally called Shandong Industrial University Printing Factory). She was persecuted several times for her persistence in the Falun Gong practice. She managed to escape on numerous occasions from illegal detention. Shandong University officials have recently begun to stop her pension payment.
On May 4, 2005, Zheng Ying distributed Falun Gong materials at the botanical garden. She was subsequently arrested and held in the Liuchangshan Detention Center. As she did not cooperate with the police's demand that she give up Falun Gong, she was tied up on the death bed for as long as four days. They did not let her down until her whole body was swollen and went numb. They said, "If it were not for your age, we would not have let you down from the bed." While in the Jinan Detention Center, Ms. Zheng Ying went on a protest hunger strike. She persisted in doing the Falun Gong exercises and refused to give up Falun Gong.
On June 3, 2005, Li Dongfang from the Lixia District and Xu Hui from the police department arrested Zheng Ying and took her to the Jiangshuiquan Women's Forced Labor Camp. They planned to detain her for one year and nine months. Zheng Ying was by then very weak, but the guards still handcuffed her for one day to the heating pipes. In protest of the persecution, Zheng Ying wrote a letter to the state department and to the National People's Congress about the persecution. In retaliation, the guards tied her up to the heating pipes with a strip of cloth that they mockingly called the "comfort strip". They did not give her any water and forbade her from going to the bathroom. She was tortured this way until September 7, 2005. They did not untie her at all during this time.
When Zheng Ying shouted, "Falun Dafa is good," the police took turns to slap her and taped her mouth shut.
By September 2005, Zheng Ying was tortured to a point where she was barely recognizable. She had several small open, pus-filled sores that itched and hurt. She was covered with bruises. The guards made collaborators and criminal inmates put medicated cream on her open wounds to cause more pain. Zheng Ying's face was swollen and covered with nasal discharge and tears. The nasal force-feeding tube that had been inserted a long time ago was held in place by tying it to her matted hair with a piece of fabric. She was tortured to this condition within a span of three months. Her family members, who were not practitioners, knew about her situation and were quite worried. They contacted several individuals and offices to get help to rescue her. The camp officials refused to agree to her release and forced the family to pay 10,0000 yuan for "medical expenses." Zheng Ying was released on September 7, 2005, virtually at death's door.
At around 10:00 p.m. on January 26, 2006, Zheng Ying had just left her home. A group of plainclothes officers jumped out of a vehicle and surrounded her. They forced her into the vehicle, and Zheng Ying asked them, "Why are you taking me away?" The people who arrested her were a woman in her 50's surnamed Mi from the "610 Office" at Shandong University, a man surnamed Liu, and another man from the "610 Office" in the Lixia District.
After they arrested Zheng Ying, the police sent her to the Yuchun "Legal Education Center", which was in fact a brainwashing center. The following day she explained facts about the persecution to the people there. She pointed out the serious consequences of doing bad deeds, which rendered the staff there speechless.
Zheng Ying was subjected to four days of brainwashing. Later on the police made her and a person assigned to monitor her to sit for 20 days. On February 25, 2006, she commenced a protest hunger strike. The police saw that they could not make her give up Falun Gong, so they sent her to a hospital for an exam on March 2, 2007 and then released her on medical grounds. After Zheng Ying returned home, the labor camp posted people below her apartment to monitor her.
On July 20, 2007, Zheng Ying was clarifying the truth at Quancheng Square when she was arrested. People from the Quanchenlu Police Station sent her to the Jinan Detention Center. During the month that she was at the detention center, she went on a hunger strike, explained the facts about the persecution and sang the songs "Falun Gong is good," and "Seeking the Truth." Her compassion touched many people. She was released on August 22, 2007.
