Dec. 20, 2007 |   By a Swedish practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) December 10th, 2007 was the annual Nobel Prize Awards Day. The Nobel Prize dinner party that takes place annually in the Stockholm City Hall is highly regarded and has even been broadcast live by TV stations from more than a dozen countries in recent years. There were about 1,300 people attending the dinner party, among whom were royalty, Nobel Prize winners, scholars and government officials.

At 6 p.m., Swedish practitioners gathered in front of City Hall. This annual event has become a good opportunity for practitioners to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong among the guests that attend the Nobel Prize dinner.

Candlelight and torch lights shone upon the banners bearing the words, "Falun Gong" and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance". Accompanied by peaceful, traditional-style Chinese music, the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises in the cold wind, drawing the attention of guests attending the dinner. Many people took pictures and asked for more information about Falun Gong. Two young Swedish girls wanted to learn Falun Gong on the spot, and many passersby asked for leaflets.

Heedless of the cold wind, the practitioners told people about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong, as well as about the Chinese Communist Party's inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners over the past eight years. They called on the people to uphold justice and help stop the ongoing persecution.

As the motorcade of the King and Queen of Sweden passed by the practitioners' banners, the King smiled and waved to the Falun Gong practitioners.

At the end of the activity, a practitioner said, "We are really happy today, as we have been able to raise awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution among tonight's guests."
