(Clearwisdom.net) Looking at things from everyday people's point of view, one is an everyday person. To think highly of oneself and to feel satisfaction for doing something altruistic, even though it may have been done for Fa-rectification, such a mindset is incorrect.

Teacher has constantly reminded us in Fa-lectures that we are walking on the path toward godhood. Teacher reminded all practitioners at the end of the 2003 Fa lecture in Chicago:

We are actually the future enlightened beings of the new cosmos! When I heard this before I was also very happy, but this applied to the era after Consummation and now I am merely a cultivator, not quite sure-footed, full of shortcomings.

In recent Fa study, however, I have come to understand Teacher's earnest messages even more. I realized that I had never genuinely treated myself as "the future enlightened being of the new cosmos!"

When I came to understand from a higher level what "Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples" are, I since believe even more that I am a cultivator walking on the path toward godhood. During the course of Fa-rectification, the new cosmos emerges out of the old cosmos; still, the Lord Buddha did create the old and is creating the new. I think when Teacher is creating the new cosmos, He will establish a group of Great Enlightened Beings of the new cosmos who are the Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples assisting Teacher in the human world.

Such might be quite inconceivable and hard to believe. Let me give you an example. Before I could qualify as a reserve officer I had to receive training for three months. When I finished I was assigned the rank of lieutenant military officer. To carry the analogy further, one has to receive special training before becoming a general in the military qualified to wear stars on his uniform. I understand we used to be lords and kings of the old cosmos. We knew the old cosmos was going to perish; therefore we have followed the Lord Buddha to the human world to receive the Fa.

Having our attainment status taken away and entering the maze, if we could wait for thousands of years in the three realms amid hardships and follow the Lord Buddha to cultivate in today's human world all the way to the end, we might become the great enlightened beings of the new cosmos. What is different from promoted generals is that we can neither see the new cosmos nor any Great Enlightened Beings. But Teacher has told us that it is exactly because we are in the maze that makes our choice remarkable, and that we can therefore achieve higher fruit status. In my understanding, we are already "prophets" in the human world.

When I gathered the courage and tried to look at people and matters around me from the point of view from a "future Great Enlightened Being of the new cosmos" I found what came next was not the feeling of superiority, pride, or arrogance; instead it was a deeper understanding and more compassion.

When I gathered the courage and tried to look at my Dafa work from the point of view of a "future's Great Enlightened Being of the new cosmos" I found my human attachments such as being pleased with myself and validating myself had diminished. I started to pay more attention instead to what I was doing, whether or not it might indeed have the effect of rescuing sentient beings during the Fa-rectification era.

In the past when I looked at practitioners who cultivated well I had mixed feelings. I felt they would soon become very tall and very big gods, and perhaps I might merely become a small and tiny god. Looking inside, I have discovered the attachment of jealousy behind this mentality.

When I started to look at things from the point of view of a "future Great Enlightened Being of the new cosmos" I would look at the role that each and every practitioner is playing during Fa-rectification and wholeheartedly admire their jobs well done. I have also seen unsatisfactory things—there are still so many practitioners subject to the evil persecution, and many evils are still rampant. Even outside China, Singapore practitioners are still imprisoned and need us to help rescue them; one needs to further eliminate the evil and clarify the truth.

When I gathered the courage and treated myself as a "future's Great Enlightened Being of the new cosmos," I could put myself in the energy channel of the overall Fa-rectification of the cosmos and look at things comprehensively instead of from the point of view of my insignificant me.

When I put myself in the position of a "future's Great Enlightened Being of the new cosmos," I found everything surrounding me became small, and those hard-to-remove attachments are losing their power. I found my human mentalities dissolving, my xinxing being raised and my level ascending!

This concludes my limited understandings. I ask other future Great Enlightened Beings of the new cosmos to kindly point out anything inappropriate.
