(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Luan Fusheng from Shijiazhuang is being held in Qi County Prison in Shangxi Province. He is extremely weak after long-term persecution. His family has asked many times for his release in order to seek medical attention, but were refused. On February 28, 2007, the prison suddenly sent a notice to his family stating that Mr. Luan Fusheng was in critical condition, but they still refused to release him. Family members and relatives again went to the prison and requested his release to seek medical care.

Mr. Luan Fusheng was arrested in October 2002, because he believes in the principles of "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance," and was printing out Falun Gong truth clarification materials. Wanbolin District Court in Taiyuan City sentenced him to eleven years in prison. He has been held in Jinzhong Prison (Qi County Prison) in Shanxi Province since November 2003.

Mr. Luan Fusheng's physical health was ruined by long term physical torture, mental abuse, and abominable living conditions in prison. He has been sent to the emergency room many times. His family has repeatedly requested his release to seek medical attention but were refused. On February 3, 2007, his family went to visit him, and he was carried out to meet them. He was extremely weak and could hardy talk. He was in critical condition, and his family requested medical attention for him, but the guard claimed that they had already reported his condition.

Falun Gong practitioner Luan Fusheng's persecution case:

Mr. Luan Fusheng is fifty years old, from Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. He used to work in the real estate department for the Hebei Province Government. He began practicing Falun Dafa in 1995, and benefited enormously. His diabetes and hypertension disappeared without treatment.

In October 1999, Luan Fusheng was arrested when he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. He was tortured by policeman Weiming from Shijiazhuang City, Qiaoxi District, at the Xinghua Jie Police Station. He was cuffed to the rail of a second floor balcony, interrogated and tortured. He was then held in Beijiao Detention Center for thirty days.

In December 2000, Luan Fusheng went to Beijing again to appeal for Falun Gong. He was arrested again and tortured, then released a few days later. He went to visit his friend in another city, but was arrested and sent back to the local police station and held at the No. 1 Detention Center in Shijiazhuang for over sixty days. He was then sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp. Because his blood pressure was dangerously high, he was rejected by the labor camp and placed under house arrest for one year. Xinghua Police Station extorted one thousand yuan from him.

In 2001, the Xinghua Police Station attempted to sentence him again to forced labor, so Luan Fusheng had no choice but to leave home and go to Shanxi Province.

In October 2002, Luan Fusheng was arrested in Taiyuan City (it could be Taigu County). Twenty-four Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested that day. Falun Dafa practitioner Ding Lihong from Shijiazhuang was beaten to death during the interrogation.

On July 7, 2003, a Taiyuan City Wangbolin District Court sentenced Mr. Luan Fusheng to eleven years in prison. Four months later, he was transferred to Jinzhong Prison in Shanxi Province, No. 13 prison District.

Mr. Luan Fusheng did not believe he committed any crimes, so he appealed to the upper level court in Taiyuan City. The middle level court rejected his appeal.

After long-term physical torture and mental abuse, Mr. Luan Fusheng developed many diseases. He has been sent to the emergency room three times since June 2005. Currently, his diabetes is out of control, his blood pressure is dangerously high, he is emaciated and so weak that he cannot walk. He is also extremely short of breath, and his life is again in critical condition. His family insists on his release for medical attention, yet the prison authorities refused, using the excuse "Falun gong practitioners are not allowed to be released for medical attention."

Mr. Luan Fusheng is fifty-six years-old. Because he believes in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and keeps speaking the truth, he has not had one day of peace in the last eight years. His physical and mental condition have reached the limit. He is at the final stage of his diabetes, and his life is in critical condition. Any citizen should have the basic right to live, including Falun Gong practitioners. The Prison Management Bureau in Shanxi Province and Jinzhong Prison should release Mr. Luan Fusheng immediately to seek medical attention!
