(Clearwisdom.net) "The atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit do exist in China. China's military is extensively involved in the crimes to make exorbitant profit," said Mr. David Matas. When he announced these conclusions at a seminar held at Munich University, the audience listened attentively.

Mr. Filsinger (left), a Tibetan activist, said that he was pleased to attend this kind of seminar. The person sitting next to him is a human rights lawyer.

Dr. Skambraks said that he would warn his patients about the Chinese Communist regime's harvesting organs from living humans if they are thinking about having an organ transplant in China.

On the evening of March 27, 2007, invited by International Society for Human Rights (Internationale Gesellschaft für Menschenrechte, IGFM) and the Epoch Times, Mr. David Matas, a Canadian human rights lawyer, participated in a seminar focusing on the Chinese Communist regime's organ-harvesting and freedom of speech. The seminar was held at Munich University and was presided over by J. Thierack, the President of the IGFM's branch in Munich.

At the seminar, Mr. Matas mentioned that since he and another Canadian investigator, Mr. David Kilgour, released their investigation report on the Chinese Communist regime's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, they have traveled to nearly 30 countries in about half a year to conduct further investigations and interview many people who have been to China for organ transplantation. During these trips, they have found an additional sixteen elements of proof to support the conclusions in their report. He said, "The atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit does exist in China and China's military is extensively involved in this atrocity to make exorbitant profits." Mr. Matas urged all the governments around the world to dissuade their nationals from going to China for organ transplantation, and to stop exporting certain drugs used in transplant cases to China. He suggested that the international community apply pressure to the Chinese Communist regime to stop the atrocities before the Beijing Olympic Games.

Among the participants were people from all walks of life, including human rights lawyers, medical doctors, engineers, computer experts, Tibetan activists, workers, retirees, students, etc. They were shocked to hear the horrendous atrocities and made various inquiries regarding the persecution. Mr. Matas answered these inquiries one after another. However, due to time constraints, he was unable to take more questions. As a result, many people left their email addresses with the organizers, asking them to let them know when similar activities are held in the future.

Mr. Weimer, an elderly man who was the first one arriving at the venue, said that it was really very terrible when he heard about the Chinese regime's harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners last year. While talking about that, he stopped speaking to hold back his tears. He added, "I am against organ transplantation, as I think it is against universal principles. The life span endowed by heaven, whether it is ten years, twenty years or thirty years, it should not be changed." He also mentioned that he would copy the materials he got there for their relatives and friends.

Mr. Filsinger, a Tibetan activist, said that he was pleased to attend the seminar, as it was meaningful and important. He added that the issue Mr. Matas mentioned was indeed very important.

Dr. Skambraks said that harvesting organs from living humans is an atrocious tragedy and that if his patients wanted to have organ transplantation in China, he would explicitly ask them to make sure about the origin of the organs.

Mr. Waechtler, an attorney, said that when it came to the Chinese Communist regime's atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, Germany should not shy away from its responsibility, since Germen people were the recipients of harvested organs. He further pointed out that we linger on condemnation for too long; we should consider taking action.

To further investigate the crimes the Chinese Communist regime has committed against Falun Gong practitioners in the past seven years or so, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) has been established in various places around the globe recently, including Australia, Asia branch, Europe, the U.S. and Canada. The CIPFG is determined to put an end to the Chinese regime's persecution against Falun Gong by taking some practical measures. In a press release, CIPFG said they will conduct an investigation into allegations that the Chinese regime has committed the atrocities of killing Falun Gong practitioners and harvesting their organs to sell for profit. In addition they will expose the atrocities so as to put an end to the persecution, and bring the perpetrators to justice on charges of crimes against humanity.
