(Clearwisdom.net) In order to raise public awareness of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong, Hungarian practitioners held an information day outside the Chinese Embassy in Budapest in the beginning of May 2007.
At Margaret Island, a famous tourist attraction, posters were displayed to show the spread of Falun Gong in over eighty countries and illustrate various torture methods used by the Chinese Communist Party during the brutal suppression of the practice. The persecution was launched by former CCP head, Jiang Zemin.
Many passersby stopped to read the information posters. Some began shedding tears upon reading the stories of practitioners who died while being tortured by Chinese prison guards and police.
Some passers-by showed interest in learning the exercises when they saw the practitioners' Falun Gong exercise demonstration. A few of them said that they would very much like to attend the weekly group practice.
The practitioners also displayed banners which read "Eight years of persecution and 3,020 tortured to death," "We condemn the CCP for harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners," and "Stop the persecution in China."
Many people stopped to read the information, to talk with practitioners, and to sign a petition.
