(Clearwisdom.net) On July 1, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from San Francisco assembled in front of the Chinese Consulate to protest the deportation of Taiwanese practitioners from Hong Kong at the behest of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Practitioners also supported the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin in Hong Kong.

July 1, 2007, marked the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's reunification with China. Before the anniversary, the Hong Kong government kept Falun Gong practitioners from other countries and areas from entering Hong Kong. More than 520 practitioners from Taiwan, Macau, and Australia, all with legal travel documents, have been deported by the Hong Kong government since June 25. About 300 practitioners' applications for visas to enter Hong Kong were rejected, so they have had to stay at the Hong Kong airport. In total, almost 1000 practitioners were refused entry into Hong Kong.

Zhang Hong, a practitioner from the Bay Area, said that the purpose of the protest in front of the Chinese Consulate was to tell people that Falun Gong practitioners obey the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and that the Chinese Communist Party is afraid of the truth. Zhang Hong said the CCP is afraid that their brutality will be exposed, so they don't allow practitioners to enter Hong Kong and clarify the facts of Falun Gong.

Zhang Hong said, "We support those fellow practitioners. Especially we support the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin filed by practitioners from Hong Kong."

Zhen Wenbiao, a practitioner from San Francisco, said, "The Hong Kong government doesn't allow 1000 practitioners, all of whom have legal travel documents, to enter Hong Kong. This shows that the 'one country, two systems' policy is a lie. The CCP is controlling Hong Kong very tightly."

Zhen Wenbiao said, "The CCP is afraid of the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin filed in Hong Kong, so it has tried to keep practitioners from entering Hong Kong. This is the biggest deportation incident in the history of Hong Kong and has exposed the CCP's blatant violation of human rights."

Nie Mixue, a citizen from San Francisco, was shocked by the persecution of Falun Gong. She said that everybody is entitled to freedom of belief and that the peaceful way that Falun Gong practitioners appeal for their belief is great. She condemned the CCP for the deportations in Hong Kong.
