1. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] A 60-Year-Old Falun Gong Practitioner is in Critical Condition from Police Beatings
Personnel from the Shuangyashan City Mine Administration Bureau's Police Department arrested a 60-year-old practitioner in the city's park on August 1, 2007, as the older practitioner was distributing truth clarification materials. Shuangyashan City Police Department 610 Office policeman Du Zhanyi and another officer interrogated the practitioner the next day. They beat him until he lost consciousness. Police sent him to a hospital, and a doctor said the practitioner was in critical condition. Policeman Du Zhanyi was afraid of taking any responsibility and released the man.

The Guxian Town Renzhao Police Station chief Ma Dawei, along with others arrested practitioners Ms. Xiao Sumin, Ms. Chen Junli, and Ms. Zhang Chunting from Pingdu City at 8:00 p.m. on August 7, 2007.

4. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Li Tingfang and Wang Suqing Arrested
Ms. Li Tingfang and Ms. Wang Suqing are employees of the Chuangxin Industry District Office in Suining City, Sichuan Province. They were arrested on August 8, 2007, when explaining the facts about Falun Gong. Their whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Chongqing] A Gentleman Practitioner Arrested in the Dadukou District
Police arrested a gentleman practitioner on Mawang Street, Mawang Township, the Dadukou District, Chongqing at 6:00 a.m. on July 22, 2007.
6. [Huarong County, Hunan Province] Seven Practitioners Persecuted - Belated News
Huarong County police authorities sentenced practitioner Mr. Zhang Ping'an to one year of forced labor and Mr. Zhang Qian to one and a half years in 2001. They again sentenced Mr. Zhang Qian to two and a half years of forced labor in 2004.
Police held practitioner Mr. Zhang Xiaoping for a month in 2001. Yueyang City 610 Office agents sentenced practitioners Mr. Meng Kai, Ms. Li Lianchun, and Ms. Lu to seven years, six years, and four years in prison, respectively.
Police beat a practitioner for several hours in September 2002.
7. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Practitioner Song Yuliang Arrested
Mr. Song Yuliang from Wujing Town, Linqu County, was arrested on August 11, 2007. His whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Personnel from the Jiangyang District 610 Office Persecuted Practitioner Liang Shuangquan - Belated News
Mr. Liang Shuangquan is employed at Shunan Mine. Transportation Division chief Huang, group leader Zhou Xiaoshan, and division security section chief Wang Xinjian went to Mr. Liang's home at 5:00 p.m. on January 22, 2001. They ordered him to attend a brief meeting at the mine office, but Mr. Liang was arrested and sent to a brainwashing session that the Jiangyang District 610 Office agents were holding. He was held there for eight months and had 15,000 yuan extorted from him.
9. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Personnel from the Gulin County Dacun Town Police Department Persecute Practitioner Guo Taifen
Dacun Town Police Department chief Xie Jiewei and a villain named Chen Xiangkang broke into Ms. Guo Taifen's home at 3:00 p.m. on August 4, 2007. They ransacked the place and confiscated one of Master's pictures, lecture tapes, and some truth-clarification materials. They handcuffed Ms. Guo and took her to the police department, where they interrogated her until 6:00 p.m.
10. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Practitioner Peng Zelan Held at the Baihuashan Detention Center
Personnel from the Touqiao Police Station in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province arrested Ms. Peng Zelan on July 27, 2007, as she distributed truth clarification materials. Ms. Peng is presently being held at the Baihuashan Detention Center.
11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Gao Baoju Arrested
Ms. Gao Baoju, 47 years old, is employed at the Mancheng County Construction Company. Personnel from the county's National Security Division broke into Ms. Gao's husband's privately owned factory the morning of August 10, 2007, as she chatted with relatives. Family visits to Ms. Gao are forbidden.
12. [Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province] Recent Information Regarding Practitioner Xu Aiying and Others
Police arrested practitioners Ms. Xu Aiying, Mr. Jia Xinghua, and Ms. Cui Xia from Shangzhi City on June 26, 2007. Police beatings fractured one of Mr. Jia's vertebrae. The three practitioners were held for 15 days and then transferred to the Harbin City Qianjin Forced Labor Camp on July 12, 2007. Mr. Jia is currently bedridden.

Personnel from the Fangshan District National Security Division arrested Mr. Chen Yugang and put him into the Anzhuang Brainwashing Center on August 3, 2007.

Ms. Gu Xuefang from Taihe Township, Jingjiang City, Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, was arrested recently.
Several practitioners have been arrested and several truth clarification material production centers have been damaged since March 2007. The arrested practitioners include Ms. Huan Zhilan, Ms. Yang Xiufang, Ms. Lu Jingxiu, Ms. Gu Xuefang, Ms. Geng Yuefeng, Ms. Du Liangfen, and Ms. Zhang Yuzhen.

15. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Baofeng was Arrested on the Afternoon of August 14, 2007
16. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Sixty-Year-Old Practitioner Yang Zhilan Arrested
Ms. Yang Zhilan, 60, lives in Room No. 501, Building No. 2, No. 3 Lianhu Street in Hengyang City. The police have arrested her many times during the past eight years. She was arrested again on the night of August 9, 2007, as she distributed truth-clarification materials. The authorities have not informed her family about her arrest.
17. [Yuxi City, Yunnan Province] Practitioner Gui Qionghua Sentenced to Forced Labor
Personnel from the Yuxi City Hongta Police Station arrested Ms. Gui Qionghua and her husband, Mr. Wen Lianchun, on July 4, 2007. Ms. Gui has been sentenced to two years of forced labor, to be served at the Yunnan Province Dabanqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Wen was released.
18. [Hebei Province] Personnel from the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp Harass Three Practitioners
Policewoman Liu Ziwei from the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp and personnel from the Xiong County 610 Office harassed practitioners in the camp at noon on August 12 and August 13, 2007. It was heard that they harassed three practitioners and confiscated some Dafa books and truth-clarification materials.
19. [Beijing] Practitioners Xu Tianrong and Li Cuishan Arrested
Personnel from the Pingfang Police Station broke into Mr. Xu Tianrong's home in Pingfang Township, the Chaoyang District in Beijing on August 12, 2007. They arrested him, his parents, his daughter, and practitioner Ms. Li Cuishan. Police are still holding him but have released the others.
20. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Practitioner Qian Mingfen and Others Arrested
Police arrested Ms. Qian Mingfen from the Jindong District, Jinhua City, in the middle of May 2007 when Ms. Qian was working at her farm land. They ransacked her home and also arrested practitioners Mr. Qian Xiaodi and Mr. Cao Baoxian. The three practitioners are presently being held at the city's detention center. Police have issued an arrest certificate for Ms. Qian and notified her family. They have extorted 2,000 yuan from them as well.
21. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Mudanjiang City Chaishi Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Jia Guiqin and ransacked her home the night of August 13, 2007. They also arrested practitioner Ms. Wang Anli the same day.
Personnel from the Qixing Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Qu Rong from her home on Dongsantiao Street, the Dong'an District, Mudanjiang City, the night of August 13, 2007. They took her to the Qixing Police Station. Practitioner Ms. Wen from the Ziyuner District was also taken to the police station that night, but she has been released after her family requested her release in the police station.
It was heard that practitioner Mr. Zhao Zhongjiang, who lives in the Bei'an District, was arrested at 2:00 p.m. on August 13, 2007.

22. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Hou Chuanren Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
Practitioner Ms. Si Bowen from Changchun City was arrested toward the end of June 2007. Several practitioners were arrested later on. Personnel from the Jilin Province 610 Office, from the Chaoyang Police Station, and from the Baiju Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Hou Chuanren on July 25, 2007. Mr. Hou is sentenced to one year of forced labor, to be served at the Weizigou Forced Labor Camp. His wife and young child lost their financial support following the father's arrest and lead a very difficult life.
23. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Police Fail to Arrest Three Practitioners
Police from Chenzhou City pried open the door to an apartment two women practitioners were renting the morning of August 11, 2007. The two practitioners made use of a long rope and escaped from the building's seventh floor before the police broke into the room.
Police then broke into neighbor Ms. Luo Ting's home and ransacked the place. Ms. Luo jumped from the police vehicle on the way to the station, but was injured. She was hospitalized but managed to escape from the hospital late that night. The police were outraged and arrested her non-practitioner husband, Mr. Cui Juwu.
The police went to Ms. Luo's parents home the next day and arrested her father. They also waited outside the home of practitioner Ms. Wang Guizhen, Mr. Cui's mother. Thus Ms. Wang could not return home.
24. [Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province] Practitioners Liu Hongmei and Wu Bo Arrested
Ms. Liu Hongmei and Mr. Wu Bo from Dexing City, Jiangxi Province, distributed truth-clarification materials in Yiwu City on March 28, 2007, but they were photographed. Police then arrested Ms. Liu. Mr. Wu escaped and now lives in exile.
Yiwu City police went to Dexing City and arrested practitioner Ms. Chu Qihua on April 4, 2007. They declared they had photographed her when she distributed truth-clarification materials with Ms. Liu and Mr. Wu in Jinhua City in February 2007.
Ms. Liu and Ms. Chu are now being held at the Yiwu City Detention Center. Visits by their families are denied.

Personnel from the No. 25 Middle School and from the Qili Police Station broke into Ms. Feng Yuqiu's home at 4:00 a.m. on August 1, 2007, and took her to the brainwashing session.
