Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

1. Li Xiangyong, in his 30s, was a policeman in charge of the Quanqiao District at the Duozhuang Town Police Station in Mengyin County. He actively participated in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners when he was working in Duozhuang Town between 2000 and 2003. He led people to search practitioners' homes, illegally arrested practitioners many times, forced them to put their fingerprints or palm prints on the three statements, and extorted money from them.

In the spring of 2005, Li Xiangyong and his wife went out with their child. When they were crossing the street near the county police station, the couple was hit by a car. Li Xiangyong died on the spot, and his wife died after three days in a coma. Their child escaped injury.

2. Li Xinghai, male, 38, was from Lijiazhuang Village, Taoxu Town, Mengyin County. As a member of the village council when the persecution started in July, 1999, he led people to search and take away Dafa books from practitioners' homes, tore up portraits of Dafa's founder, and posted flyers that defamed Dafa on village streets. In the spring of 2000, he was promoted to village Party secretary due to his contributions to the persecution, and afterwards worked harder on persecuting practitioners. On January 6, 2001, Li Xinghai was hit on the head and stabbed in the stomach during a fight for land in the village. He died in the emergency room.

3. Wang Zaiheng, male, was the Party secretary of Dazhan Village, Taoxu Town. He actively collaborated with the township 610 Office to watch and report practitioners, and to destroy Dafa banners and truth clarification materials. He was diagnosed with cancer not long after and committed suicide by hanging himself.

4. Wang Zaiguang, male, originally from Liuguanzhuang Village of Jushan Township, lived in Qiancheng Village of Taoxu Town and worked at the Forest Station in Taoxu Town. He actively participated in persecuting practitioners after since July 20, 1999, and was violent to Dafa practitioners. He died of an acute disease in the fall of 2003.

5. Zhang Jiman, male, in his 50s, was from Baoyu Village, Taoxu Town, and worked at the Family Planning Committee of Taoxu Town. He collaborated actively with the persecutors from the town of Taoxu to beat practitioners, search their homes, or force them to pay fines. One night in the fall of 2004, Zhang Jiman hit a tricycle on the way home, which resulted in his breaking a leg. Hopefully he learned from the situation and has realized what he has done wrong.

6. Li Zhenguo was the former head of Taoxu Town 610 Office. He persecuted practitioners by beating tem and forcing them to swear at Teacher and Dafa when he was at that position. He had a car accident on February 2, 2000, and was sent to the hospital. Hopefully he learned from the situation and has realized what he has done wrong.

7. Li Xiangyan is an employee of the Fruit Station of Taoxu Town. He participated in beating practitioners and said: "I love to beat those who practice Falun Dafa." He had a car accident in the summer of 2004 and lost consciousness. Hopefully he learned from the situation and has realized what he has done wrong.

8. Wang Shengyi, from Dongtoushan Village, Taoxu Town, was working at the village committee and collaborated with the persecutors from Taoxu Town. He destroyed Dafa posters, forced practitioners to turn in their Dafa books, and extorted money from them. He was diagnosed with a disease that caused his muscles to atrophy in October 2006, and now he cannot walk without others' support. Hopefully he has learned from the situation and will realize what he has done wrong.

9. Shi Shaochun is a villager in Dongtoushan Village, Taoxu Town. When he saw practitioners hanging up Dafa posters on the electric poles near his home, he chased and swore at them, and destroyed "truth clarification' materials. He had a car accident in 2006 and had to stayed in the hospital for a long time. More recently, he suffered a stroke. Hopefully he has learned from the situation and will realize what he has done wrong.

10. Shi Yunduan from Nantaoxu Village was the second head of the Taoxu Town 610 Office. He persecuted practitioners by beating them brutally and trying to "transform" them. He has been suffering from neck bone disease, low back pain, leg pain, and other diseases. His family has been looking for doctors and buying medicine for the past few years. Hopefully he would learn from the situation and realize what he has done wrong.

11. Wang Zhaoyang, from Damiao Village, Taoxu Town, is on the staff of the Taoxu Town 610 Office. He lost his newly purchased motorcycle when he went to Labayu Village in Taoxun Town to destroy posted truth clarification materials. He cried for his loss bitterly. Hopefully he will learn from the situation and realize what he has done wrong.

12. Qiu Yanguang was a former official in the Armed Forces Department. He has had two car accidents since he started participating actively in persecuting practitioners and almost died from them. But he has not yet learned from the situation and realized what he has done wrong.
