Caribbean: The People of Guadeloupe Express Concern over the Persecution of Falun Gong (Photo)

Sept. 4, 2007 |   By a French practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) The movie "Sandstorm," which exposes the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong, was played at the media center in Gosier, the cultural center in Saint Rose and the technology center in DoDouville, Guadeloupe on May 25th, June 8th, and June 22nd, 2007. Guadeloupe is the largest island of an archipelago in the eastern Caribbean bearing the same name, and considered to be a region of France.

These and other events organized by practitioners came about due to support from the cultural service department of the city government. Such support made it possible for the shows in Gosier and Saint-Rose to be played in such good venues. In addition, invitations were sent out by the government departments.

The daily news, France Antilles, published an article about Falun Gong on May 25th, 2007

All three shows were followed by public seminars discussing the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong for the past eight years and the atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Many expressed anger over the atrocities and signed a petition condemning the illegal suppression of Falun Gong in China. People picked up various materials and promised to tell their family members, friends and other people around them about the persecution.

The only daily newspaper on the island, France Antilles, covered the event and reported on the ongoing persecution against Falun Gong in China. They also published a photo of a group practice session that was taken in China before the persecution began in July 1999.
