(Clearwisdom.net) The music played, the curtain raised, and a scene of heavenly paradise appeared on the stage, as the audience burst into thunderous applause. The Divine Performing Arts of New York presented the Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, the "Entertainment Capital of the World," on the evening of January 21, 2008. The audience responded with applause and cheers, and the show ended to a standing ovation from the audience.

Las Vegas audience watched the show intently

Peggy thought it over for a week before she decided to attend the show with her husband Corbitte Henry, a school principal for twenty years. She said, "I believe that everyone who comes to see the show will love it."

After the show, Peggy Song was very excited. Walking out of the theatre with her husband, she remarked, "[The show was] fabulous, really fantastic!" She repeatedly said that the show had truly exceeded her expectations.

She said, "My husband has been talking with me about celebrating Chinese New Year, and he wanted to buy tickets to see the show long ago. I saw a lot of news coverage in the media about audience feedback on the show. When I heard that this was the same show I'd read so much feedback about, I rushed to buy tickets. We were very fortunate, there were still tickets available. We bought tickets for first row seats. Really fantastic! I'm very happy to see this show."

Peggy was moved to tears by the dance drama "The Story of Yue Fei." She said, "It touched my heart, because our ancient people's loyalty to the country touched me, and also because society nowadays has lost these traditional values. Do you know? I cried during all the programs, and I'm a person who seldom cries."

She said, "They (dancers) did not say a word, but they performed very well. From their facial expressions and body movements, you can feel true dedication. I'm grateful to them."

She continued, "Also the vocalists - all of them, baritone, tenor and soprano, they were really marvelous."

She said, "I'm very glad to see the show tonight. I thought the media reports exaggerated it, but I truly felt it tonight, all this is real, just as what the media reported. My feeling is the same as they described. It is indeed so. I'm a very picky person."

She said that she appreciated the historical stories in particular, such as "Lady of the Moon," and "The Story of Yue Fei," as well as the Erhu. "The performance was fantastic."

Peggy's husband Corbitte Henry also shared his feelings:"I loved the show very much. The colors were splendid, and it told vivid stories. I appreciate China's culture, because she has a long history."

Corbitte revealed that before inviting him to come to see the show, Peggy spent about a week deciding if they should come. Both of them said, "We are very lucky. We enjoyed every part of the show." Corbitte is a retired school principal of twenty years. He taught students from kindergarten to sixth-grade.

Peggy said in the end, "I believe everyone who comes to see the show will love it."
