(Clearwisdom.net) On December 31, 2007, New Year's Eve, Falun Gong practitioners from Kyushu peacefully protested in front of Chinese Consulate in Fukuoka City. They held a candlelight vigil to commemorate the practitioners who were killed as a result of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong in China.

It was so far the coldest day this winter, with strong winds and snow from time to time. Despite the bitter cold, the practitioners were full of energy as they unfurled banners reading "Falun Dafa" and "Stop the persecution of Falun Gong" and a banner displaying the current number of people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. A lot of passersby read the banners.

Some practitioners sat in a row with candles in their hands to commemorate the practitioners who have been killed in the persecution.

It has been eight and a half years since the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. During this time, practitioners have been peacefully protesting the persecution and "clarifying truth" to the world's people with compassion and forbearance. Falun Dafa has spread to over 80 countries in the world and received numerous proclamations and awards. At the same time, because of the persecution of Falun Gong, the CCP's dictatorship is collapsing. Over 30 million people declaring their withdrawals from the CCP is a clear sign of this.

The activity came to an end at 1 a.m. on January 1, 2008.
