In August every year, the Salzburg Festival is held here, and it attracts a great many Austrians and foreign tourists from around the world. On August 30th, Falun Gong practitioners held "information day" activities in Salzburg Castle to expose the Chinese Communist regime's atrocities in their persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Many tourists lined up to sign the petition to end the persecution to show their support.

A Chinese student studying in Germany said, "I know the situation about the persecution of Falun Gong. I know the facts about Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong." He further added that he thought the persecution was wrong.
An American from Washington, D.C., told practitioners that he knew about the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong and that he had seen practitioners parade in Washington. He also said that he was pleased to see Falun Gong practitioners again in Austria, and he supported their activities.
After viewing the display boards, a tourist from Nepal approached the information booth and asked if he could sign the petition. He also expressed his support for Falun Gong practitioners.
An Irish tourist who came to Austria with his wife and child also said that he had heard about Falun Gong in the past but didn't really know what it was all about, so he asked a practitioner for more information. After hearing the facts about the persecution, they signed the petition to support Falun Gong.
After hearing the facts, a local resident told the practitioners that he
would like to learn the Falun Gong exercises as soon as possible.
