Lianshan District Court agents in Huludao City will put Ms. Li Yanqun and Ms. Li Mingyan on trial at 1:30 p.m. on November 13, 2008.
2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Police Arrest Practitioners While Three Practitioners Are on Trial in Jilin City Court
Chuanying Court officials in Jilin City put three practitioners, including Mr. Liu Chengda, on trial at 9:30 a.m. on November 11, 2008. When the trial concluded at 10:00 a.m., the police arrested three practitioners near the court. Plainclothes police arrested two other practitioners while they were posting Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. One of them was 59-year-old Ms. Zhang Guizhi.
3. [Shuangpai County, Hunan Province] Mr. Chen Guanyong Held in Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp in Baotou City
Personnel from the Kun District Police Department in Baotou City arrested Mr. Chen Guanyong during the Olympics and took him to the city detention center. The police extorted a confession under torture that led to a 10cm-long head wound. Mr. Chen was sentenced to two years in prison four months later and held in Wuyuan Forced Labor Camp in Baotou City. He is very weak at present, but the guards still force him to do heavy labor.

6. [Jiaonan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shen Chuanjuan Arrested
Officer Shi Xinye from the Zangnan Town Police Station in Jiaonan City took part in the arrest of Ms. Shen Chuanjuan from Mowang Village, Zangnan Town, on October 14, 2008. Shi Xinye handcuffed Ms. Shen to a wooden pole and struck her face with his shoes. He ordered her to tell him where she was from and her home address. Ms. Shen was tied to a hard board. Shi Xinye beat her and wouldn't let her use the restroom.
7. [Changyi County, Shandong Province] Mr. Chu Qinghua and His Father Mr. Chu Liwen Persecuted
The police discovered that Mr. Chu Qinghua wrote a letter to the Eutelsat Company asking for the reinstatement of the New Tang Dynasty TV Station programs. Personnel from the Taibaozhuang Police Station often harassed him and even looked for him in his grandmother's home.
Mr. Chu's father Mr. Chu Liwen was recently released following five years of imprisonment. Police station chief Wei Qingbin often harasses him.
8. [Shanxi Province] Practitioners Tortured in the Shanxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp
Sixty practitioners were transferred from Beijing to the Shanxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp before the Olympics. Guards ordered drug abusers to monitor and beat practitioners. Practitioners who refused to give up the Falun Gong practice were locked up in a small compartment and deprived of sleep and toilet use.
Ms. Guo Xiuyun and Ms. Liu Ying from Beijing defied the guards, so the guards forced them to do heavy labor during the daytime and deprived them of sleep at night.
Ms. Wang Junfeng has been held there for more than a month. No. 3 Division chief Liu Zhongmei and deputy chief Hongzhen ordered three drug abusers including Fei Duanyi to monitor Ms. Wang. They deprived her of sleep and forced her to stand still overnight.
Ms. Zhang Shufang from Shanxi Province was made to perform heavy labor and was only allowed to sleep for a short time. Her blood pressure was over 200mmHg. She became unconscious once, but the guards still mistreated her.
Ms. Liu Caihong from Shanxi Province was forced to do hard labor during the day and forbidden to sleep at night or take a shower.
9. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhou Yuezhen on Trial
Personnel from the Qinzhou District 610 Office and from the police department arrested Ms. Zhou Yuezhen in April 2008. Officials in the district court sentenced her on November 4, 2008.
10. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Kaifang and Mr. Tan Xinghong Held in Yongchuan Prison
Mr. Liu Kaifang is a former employee from the Beibei District Pharmaceutical Company. He was fired and persecuted many times since July 20, 1999. Personnel from the Yubei District Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Liu and put him in the Yiwanshui Detention Center on September 28, 2008.
Mr. Tan Xinghong was arrested at the same time.
Yubei District Court officials put Mr. Liu and Mr. Tan on trial on February 14, 2008, without informing their families. Mr. Liu defended himself and said, "Falun Gong is innocent, and Falun Gong is good." No verdict was reached.
Mr. Liu's family hired a lawyer. The second trial was on April 21, 2008. The judge refused to let the lawyer defend Mr. Liu and only permitted the public prosecutor to speak.
Mr. Liu was sentenced to five years in prison, and Mr. Tan to five and a half years on June 6, 2008. Even their lawyers had no idea about the verdicts. Mr. Liu appealed, but the judge upheld the original verdict in July 2008.
Police took Mr. Liu and Mr. Tan to Changshou Fengcheng Prison on July 27, 2008, but the prison officials did not accept the practitioners, so they were sent back to the Yiwanshui Detention Center that same day. They were put in Yongchuan Prison on September 17, 2008.
Mr. Tan was hospitalized on October 21, 2008, due to poor health.
11. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Guangzhi Sentenced
Mr. Liu Guangzhi, about 40 years old, was recently sentenced to six years in prison.
Changyi District Court agents held a trial for Ms. Guo Yunqing on July 10, 2007. Mr. Liu went to take pictures outside the court. The police arrested him and put him in the Jilin City Detention Center. The police ransacked his rented room and confiscated a computer, a printer, a color jet printer, a cell phone, a video-camera, an MP3 player, an MP4 player, and a paper-cutter, all together worth about 10,000 yuan, and several thousand yuan in cash.

12. [Jintang County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Zhen and His Wife Arrested
Mr. Wang Zhen and his wife Ms. Zhong Zhifang are teachers from the Huaikou Middle School in Jintang County. They were arrested in the summer of 2008 for their Falun Gong practice. They are in the Jianyang County Detention Center and are facing an illegal trial.

Jianshan District Court agents in Shuangyashan City sentenced Ms. Dong Mingfen and Mr. Wang Haiyang on November 11, 2008.
14. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Dongxiu and Ms. Xin Xiaoping Arrested
Ms. Yang Dongxiu and Ms. Xin Xiaoping were arrested in Changsha City on October 15, 2008. Ms. Yang is in the Changde City Detention Center. Ms. Xin's whereabouts are unknown.
15. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tan from the Dongguashan Area Arrested
16. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Lifang Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
Forty-year-old Ms. Lu Lifang, an employee from the Cherry Textile Company in Jining City, was sentenced to one year of forced labor on November 6, 2008, after a one-month detention. She was taken to the Jinan City Women's Forced Labor Camp that day.
17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cong Peijing Paralyzed
Police arrested Ms. Cong Peijing from the Jinzhou District in Dalian City on October 14, 2008. She was tortured and went on a hunger strike. When she later became paralyzed, the police attempted to transfer her to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on November 5, 2008, but the camp official refused to admit her for fear of being held responsible for her condition. Police did not escort her home, but left her out in the street.
Mr. Shi Hongbo from the Jinzhou District was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor and taken to the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp on November 6, 2008.

19. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Put on Trial
Six practitioners from Yi County and Mr. Wang Deqian from Laishui County are being held in the Yi County Detention Center. Mr. Wang and five others were put on trial on October 22, 2008. Poor health prevented the other practitioner's presence at trial.
20. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Yingxia Put on Trial
Xindu District Court officials put Ms. Wang Yingxia on trial at 9:30 a.m. on November 7, 2008. Ms. Wang's family and 20 practitioners attended the trial that ended without a verdict.

22. [Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xu Dongyu and Mr. Huang Xungui Sentenced to Forced Labor
Personnel from the Xingzi County Police Station arrested Ms. Xu Dongyu and Mr. Huang Xungui from Jiujiang City on the night of September 28, 2008. They were sentenced to two years of forced labor.
The two practitioners' families went to the station and requested their release, but personnel in the Domestic Security Division denied their visits on the morning of October 6, 2008.
Ms. Xu's husband went to the Xingzi County Detention Center a week later but was informed that Ms. Xu had been transferred to the Xunyang District Police Department in Jiujiang City. When he went there, officials claimed that they had no idea of Ms. Xu's whereabouts. Her husband went to the district police department again on the morning of November 6, 2008, and was informed that Ms. Xu had been sentenced to two years of forced labor and taken to the Jiangxi Province Women's Forced Labor Camp.
23. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Yifei Arrested
Ms. Li Yifei, in her 50s, is a Suxian District Coal Mine employee. She was arrested in the district's Xifengdu Town Market on November 7, 2008.
24. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] 610 Official Wang Jianzhi Force Education Bureau Officials to Fire Practitioners
Personnel from the Qingdao Street Police Station in Laixi City arrested 17 practitioners on July 31, 2008, as they studied the Fa at a practitioner's home.
Wang Jianzhi from the city 610 Office ordered officials in the city's Education Bureau to fire practitioners, among them Ms. Liu Shuxiang and Ms. Sun Yuzhen, on October 9, 2008.

25. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] The Persecution of Ms. Wei Jun
Honggang District Court agents put Ms. Wei Jun on trial on November 6, 2008. Ms. Wei told the judge and the courtroom spectators that officer Zhang Zhonghua from the Babaishang Police Station beat her during the arrest and on the way from the police station to the district detention center. He had threatened Ms. Wei that he would arrest her non-practitioner daughter.
26. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Crimes Committed by Officers in the Jiayue Town Police Station
Five officers from the Jiayue Town Police Station in Zhucheng City ransacked Mr. Wang Jingwen's and Ms. Guo Xihui's homes on the morning of October 26, 2008.
27. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Ms. Liu Yifei Put in Xinmi Prison in Zhengzhou City
Ms. Liu Yifei was put in the Pingdingshan Detention Center on June 1, 2008, for writing Falun Gong truth-clarifying phrases. She was sentenced to seven years in prison and taken to Xinmi Prison on November 5, 2008.
28. [Chongqing] The Persecution of Ms. Zhao Quanbi
Jiangjin District Court agents had sentenced 50-year-old Ms. Zhao Quanbi to four years in prison. At the end of her term, personnel from the city's 610 Office immediately incarcerated her in Langshan Detention Center in the Jiangjin District. Ms. Zhao was mistreated for several days and then released.
29. [Chongqing] Ms. Guo Chuanshu Sentenced
Jiangjin District Court officials sentenced 50-year-old Ms. Guo Chuanshu to four years in prison without notifying her family. She was previously sentenced to prison.

30. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] The Persecution of Mr. Liang Xisheng and Ms. Liu Zhimei
Personnel from the Zhangying Town Police Station arrested Mr. Liang Xisheng from Liangjiatun Village and Ms. Liu Zhimei from Dazhuge Village on October 20, 2008. The arrests happened when the two were explaining the facts about Falun Gong in a market near the Zhangying Town government building. Officers ransacked Ms. Liu's home and arrested her husband, Mr. Zhang Qinuo. They then confiscated Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials, and a copier. Mr. Zhang was released after 15 days of detention. Police station Chief Duan Xuejun attempted to sentence Mr. Liang and Ms. Liu, but the forced labor camp officials refused to admit them because of their poor health. The two practitioners were released on the night of November 8, 2008.
31. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Personnel from the Beijing Street Police Station Ransack Practitioners' Homes
Personnel from the Beijing Street Police Station arrested Ms. Xu Guiqin and Mr. Shen Qichao from Jilin City at noon on June 28, 2008. Policeman Miao Jianhua confiscated 13,000 yuan in cash, a salary deposit card, a computer, a color printer, and truth-clarifying materials from Ms. Xu's home. They also confiscated Dafa books, at least two bank deposit certificates, and some cash from Mr. Shen's home. One of the bank deposit certificates registering 13,000 yuan belongs to Ms. Zhang Junyun. The bank certificate was worth 3,000 yuan.
32. [Liaoning Province] The Persecution of Mr. Yu Ming
Mr. Yu Ming from Shenyang City has been held in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp Men's No.1 Section, No.2 Division for a year. He has been handcuffed for a long time, and guards separated him from other practitioners. Mr. Yu was tortured with the Tiger Bench and has not recovered from the injuries. The guards have denied his family's visits.
33. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Peng, Ms. Zheng Yan and Ms. Zhang Xumei Sentenced
Xuhui District Court agents in Shanghai sentenced Mr. Liu Peng, Ms. Zheng Yan, and Ms. Zhang Xumei to five, three and two years in prison respectively on November 7, 2008. The three practitioners have appealed.
34. [Ningcheng County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] The Persecution of Several Practitioners
Personnel from the Ningcheng County Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Liu Yulan and her mother Ms. Han Shuyun on July 14, 2008. Ms. Liu staged a hunger strike, and her weight dropped from 60 kg to 45 kg. She was released after the Olympics but was arrested again on October 31, 2008 and put in a detention center.
