(Clearwisdom.net) Before the arrival of Zhou Yongkang, Head of the 610 Office and Secretary of the Political and Judicial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Australian Falun Gong practitioners filed a lawsuit against Zhou for his crimes of torture to the High Court of New South Wales. On November 5, 2008, they handed a copy of the document to Mr. Robert McClelland, Secretary to the Attorney General, and asked him to sign it and give it to the defendant.

One of the practitioners that handed in the letter pointed out that the Australian Government should not be inviting such a human rights criminal to visit. Zhou is one of the four main culprits in the persecution of Falun Gong. He has committed crimes of torture and genocide. In China, he actively participates in persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and other religious followers, many of whom are tortured and crippled, some even killed. The persecution has lasted for nine years and is ongoing in China.
An advisor to the Secretary met with the plaintiffs and two other practitioners. The practitioners said, "We were surprised when we heard that Australia had invited human rights violator Zhou Yongkang to visit the country. We ask the Attorney General to take a look at the evidence of Zhou Yongkang's crimes. We want the petition to be transferred to Zhou Yongkang via diplomatic channels."
Practitioner Hu Jian said, "I think it is important to get this message to the Australian Government because we are not only Falun Gong practitioners, but also Australian citizens. In order to protect this democratic country's principles, we are obligated to inform the Secretary of the Attorney General's Department about Zhou Yongkang's crimes."
The advisor to Mr. McClelland accepted the letter and listened to the practitioners. He said he would transfer the letter and information to the Attorney General's Secretary and Prime Minister Rudd.
Later the practitioners conducted a protest on Bridge Street in downtown. The eye-catching banners and poster boards explained the facts about Falun Gong and spelled out Zhou's crimes. Many passersby requested information.
Practitioner Zeng Lin, who prepared banners early in the morning and came to participate in the protest, said, "Zhou Yongkang has committed many crimes in China. We need to let the whole world know that he is the last person to be welcome in any country. We want the Australian Government to know the facts and not let such a criminal enter Australia on a state visit. His visit won't bring economic benefits, but it will harm Australia."
