Ms. Mallard is inspired by legends and folklore and has created many artworks. Due to her outstanding contribution to art education, she won the Memphis Wood Excellence in Teaching Award in April 2007.

Ms. Mallard said she had never watched such a show before. The costumes and music were brilliant. She especially liked the program "Welcoming Spring," a dance by young ladies holding colorful fans in spring with various flowers in full bloom. Their quick and happy dancing like beautiful flowers spreads the message of spring. Ms. Mallard liked the small quick dance steps, which looked to her like running water.

The whole family's acclamation: Marvelous!

Ms. Mallard's whole family liked the animation on the backdrop. Her daughter Sunny said she loves Asian culture. She said, "The show is superb. It is all so beautiful." She liked the stories told through dance, especially "Monk Ji Gong Abducts the Bride." Monk Ji had super-wisdom and magical powers. He traveled everywhere and helped people. One day he found that the villagers in a certain village would face total destruction. However, his kind advice was regarded as crazy words. A kind-hearted bride offered an apology to him. Then Monk Ji got an idea and rescued all the villagers. Sunny said the story was very good.

This was DPA's last show in Florida, after performing in Fort Lauderdale and Sarasota. The company will continue next to North Carolina. Relevant ticket information can be found at http://divineperformingarts.org.
