(Clearwisdom.net) On February 15, the Divine Performing Arts' Chinese Spectacular took place at the Bunkyo Civil Hall in Tokyo.
Mr. Sheng Xinyu, a Chinese visitor on a business trip to Japan, described his excitement and appreciation after the show.
Mr. Sheng said, "The performances were very expressive and really blew me away. Every time the curtain rose, I was full of anticipation. Every time a dance ended, I thought it was the best dance of all. I loved the grandeur of 'Descent of the Celestial Kings,' the tenderness of 'Nymphs of the Sea,' the elegance of 'The Mongolian Bowl Dance,' the carefree feeling of 'Chopstick Zest,' the virility of 'Drummers of the Tang Court,' and the beauty of 'Ladies of the Manchu Court.' The dances, 'The Fruits of Goodness' and 'The Power of Awareness' also made a deep impression on me." Mr. Sheng also said that he felt very involved with the performance. "I was eagerly anticipating the next dance, yet not wanting the show to end. The dances were so beautiful, just as the name of the company implies - divine culture, divine harmony.
"Although I had seen some posters before the show and knew it was going to be beautiful, when the curtain rose, I was still stunned. The costumes were fantastic, and the background was bright and lively. It was beyond my imaginations," said Sheng.
"I watched the dancers carefully to seek the source of this beauty. I find it so pure and flawless. Although the stage is not big, the content demonstrated was immense. I wished my eyes were able to capture every movement, every detail of the dancers. Words cannot describe how I feel. In the deepest quietness of my heart, only the beauty remains. Such beautiful dances should only be seen in the heavens. How many times are we fortunate enough to see it here in this world? It is my honor to promote the Divine Performing Arts."
