My Experience Distributing Master's Articles in a Forced Labor Camp

Feb. 25, 2008 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Changchun

(Clearwisdom.net) I tried to convince someone to renounce his membership in the Chinese Communist Party but was reported to the authorities. I was then incarcerated at a forced labor camp. Fellow practitioners tried different methods get Master's new articles to the incarcerated practitioners. These new articles are very precious to us. During the last few months when I was locked up in a solitary cell, I depended on these new articles, which helped me to escape from the labor camp with righteous thoughts.

Once, personnel from the health department came to conduct inspections. When those officials came to the table where I was eating, I told them that I was only given bland soup and that we were only allowed a few minutes to eat. After that, the team leader and guards started to pick on me and took away Master's new lectures that I had hidden in my clothes. I immediately stopped doing labor in protest. They told me that because I had secretly hidden these articles, my term would be extended. From that time on, they did not allow my family to visit me. They also told me that I had to pay double for each day of my hunger strike. I said, "These articles are my life. It doesn't mean anything for you to threaten me with a longer sentence. If you don't return these articles, I will not work." They tried different tactics, but none of them worked In the end, they returned all the articles to me.

This matter created much commotion in the team because not long ago, almost all the practitioners who were found to have new articles on them were forced to write repentance letters, and all of them had their terms extended.

Later, as a few practitioners did not pay attention to the cultivation of speech, the guards suspected me of spreading the articles. This created danger for those practioners who had sent the articles to me. In my heart, I asked Master for help.

The day before I was to be sent to solitary confinement, I gave the articles to a criminal inmate who had monitored me before. A couple of days later, the family of that inmate came to visit her, and we managed to send the new articles safely out. The guards concluded that I didn't have any new articles, and did not bother trying any more to find the practitioner who had given them to me.

We were imprisoned and still able to read Master's new articles on a timely basis, and that was the result of other practitioners' tremendous efforts. They had to brave the dangers of being arrested and persecuted. In spite of the danger, they thought only of our well-being and cultivation. For those of us who are incarcerated, it is our duty to make the most of these opportunities and also to mind our speech.

Without the protection of Master and the righteous thoughts sent by fellow practitioners, how could we have escaped from the evil persecution?
