Ms. Zhang Jinlan Died as Result of Being Injected with an Unknown Drug in a Shaanxi Province Mental Hospital

Feb. 26, 2008

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Jinlan, around 60 years old, was a Falun Dafa practitioner and lived in the Tuanzhuang area in Huangce Village, Yuchu Township in Gaoling County, Shaanxi Province. She went to Beijing to appeal in December 2000, was arrested by 610 Office agents and then sentenced to one year of forced labor.

In December 2001, Ms. Zhang went to Beijing to appeal again. She was arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor again, but the labor camp officials did not dare to accept her due to her solid faith. The detention center administrators transferred her to another region's detention center, where she wore heavy ankle shackles for five months, causing her ankles to bleed and fester. She was forced to take care of a death row prisoner. She was released when she could no longer move as a result of the brutal treatment.

In July 2002, the police arrested her and took her to the Xi'an City brainwashing center. She was later transferred to Ankang (Mental) Hospital, an evil place where Falun Dafa practitioners are tortured. She was inhumanly tortured and injected with unknown drugs. After only one injection, she felt like she was having stroke and could not move half of her body. She became totally paralyzed that same night and lost consciousness. Those in charge still would not leave her alone and ordered six more injections, causing her female organs to start to fester.

By September 2002, Ms. Zhang could no longer walk and had become mentally disordered; she was near death. The hospital officials notified her family to pick her up. She was totally paralyzed, could not recognize anyone, and the lower part of body was severely infected. Although she was in such terrible condition, her home and phone were monitored. She died on February 1, 2008.

The main perpetrators that participated in the brutal treatment of Falun Dafa practitioners in Ankang Hospital were: Office Chair Wei Yijun (male); Hong Kui (male); nurses Liu Qi (female), Dong, and Chen (both female, given names unknown); prisoners Gao Ming and Dong Hongtao (both female).
