(Clearwisdom.net) To some audience members at the Chinese New Year Splendor, the show not only brought to life the festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year, but also served as an excellent birthday gift. After the afternoon show on February 2, a reporter met with such a fortunate person, Maureen Raber, and her husband John.
While talking about the show, Maureen cried.
"We were very touched by it. The 'Power of Awareness' just totally wiped me out. It was very moving." Maureen said.
"I think the New Year Splendor is an artful crystallization in music and dance, of the human spirit overcoming anything." John said.
Maureen and John Raber were deeply touched by the Splendor
John and Maureen heard about the show on TV. John then went online and bought tickets as a birthday gift to Maureen.
"We have a dear friend who was a missionary sister and served in China for more than 40 years. I would just imagine that she would love to see this because she loves the Chinese people so much. This was very moving."
"The music, the dances, down to the finest detail, who choreographed it? The music was just beautiful. I am a musician myself, and I am more a singer, a tenor. It was just exquisite, magnificent." John commented.
Maureen said she loved to dance. "We dearly love the life and culture of the Chinese people that was portrayed. It's a shame they have been suppressed so severely in the past fifty years."
Besides being amazed by the beauty of the show, John also got a clear message. He said, "It was also clear that the human spirit is divine and can overcome any hardship."
"We both had a great sensitivity to the need for people to have something to hold on to... This is the best birthday gift." Maureen concluded.
