The Divine Performing Arts New York Company presented its first show in Tainan, Taiwan, on February 29, 2008, and there were many people from educational circls in attendance. Teachers greatly admired the magnificence and fine detail of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular. They thought the show not only presented the essence of Chinese culture, but also promoted moral values from Chinese traditions.

High school teacher: the Divine Performing Arts is a place of purity in the human world

Mr Lee Wen-chi from Jianhsing High School attended the Chinese Spectacular with three other family members. Mr Lee praised the show as a whole, and felt the backdrop was very nice. "Very good! Very open, it's mind opening! The colors of the costumes are quite beautiful," he said.

It was the first time Mr Lee attended a show by the Divine Performing Arts. He felt "The Risen Lotus Flower " was very touching, "It is not only beautiful, or merely traditional music, there is a very profound inner meaning."

Mr Lee said that the show can cleanse one's mind, and uplift morality in society. "In today's society, too many things are bad, and there is not enough purity. As the entire show communicates the beautiful moral values of 5000 years of Chinese culture, I think it would greatly help to elevate morality in society."

Ms Shen: the Divine Performing Arts presents pure compassion and pure beauty

Ms Shen, who teaches literature in Jianhsing High School, said, "The Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular allows people to experience things from deep within their hearts. It inspires people from within to ponder many beautiful things which originally existed, but have perhaps been forgotten, or we neglect to remind ourselves of, due to our lifestyle. However, through the deep inspiration from this show, they can be rediscovered and revitalized."

Ms Shen said the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular positively influences morality in society. This is because when you reflect or are inspired about certain things, it can touch your heart. Once your heart has been moved, we would become compassionate toward many things, and what follows is our willingness to be considerate of others.

"For example, about the dance "Ladies of Manchu Court", I want to say, who can express 'walking' in such a lively and elegant way. "The Loyalty of Yue Fei" expressed so much of our pure compassion and pure beauty, as we have always respected the heavens, and virtue! I feel it is very life-like, and allows people to experience such things through dance. How could someone express daily tasks with such beauty, and even turn walking into such an elegant art."

Ms. Liang: The Divine Performing Arts uses its heart to express divinely-inspired culture

Pharmacy teacher Liang from Chiayi said, "The dance performances were quite good. The entire feel of historical programs, the preparation of the dancers, the choreography and theatrics, were all designed with care to express divinely-inspired culture. This allows people to understand divinely-inspired culture, and offers a very comfortable, joyful, and relaxed feel for the spirit."

Ms Wang Chi-min: The essence of Chinese culture has been conveyed

Ms Wang Chi-min from Shenggong Girls' High School brought a group of students to see the show. She felt the students gained a deeper understanding of Chinese culture through the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular. Ms Wang said, "I feel the entire show is very touching, and has conveyed the essence of our Chinese culture. Particularly for children who don't quite understand Chinese legends, seeing the show really helps them to understand historical events."

Ms. Yan: "A magnificent show with fine detail."

Retired teacher Yan said, "The Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular is very magnificent, and the show has much fine detail. Compared with other shows, the Divine Performing Arts has more physical rhythm, and the dance movements are very refined. I feel the backdrop is designed very well, helps to calm one's mind, and adds peace to the show."
