Symphony Orchestra Director: Every Performance Was What My Heart Longed for (Photos)

March 11, 2008

(Clearwisdom.net) The third show of the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan successfully concluded at 10 p.m. on March 6, 2008, to the audience's warm applause. The audience was enchanted by the divine Chinese culture throughout the two-hour show, which gave them a precious opportunity to experience authentic Chinese culture. Although the Taiwanese follow traditional Chinese culture, the audience was still amazed by the DPA's superb performance. The director and the chief administrative officer of the Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra came to enjoy the show as well.

I Could Not Help My Tears

Ms. Cai Shuyuan, the director of the Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra, said, "The dances told such vivid stories. The vocalists sang and presented the audience with Buddhist school principles and being a human being. When I heard their singing, I could not help but burst into tears."

Ms. Cai said that every single performance was what she was longing for because it told a story and educated people. She hopes more people could come to see the show. She was deeply moved by the dances because they made her feel that there is love in the human world and there are indeed divine principles.

Ms. Cai also said, "I have known most every story since I was young. I was deeply moved by the meanings of 'Descent of the Celestial Kings.' Although I knew the story of 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei' when I was in grade school, now when I watched this, I felt it even more necessary for the children nowadays to understand it. The integrity and righteousness presented via the dances is perfect."

She continued to say, "Using music to tell stories is in fact a dream of mine. Having a symphony orchestra to pass the message to everyone is a dream. I really like the Divine Performing Arts' performance."

Chief Administrative Officer: A New, Refreshing and Inspirational Artistic Form

Lu Yixiang, the chief administrative officer of the symphony orchestra, said, "They have paid special attention to every single detail of the show and made perfect arrangements that made this a new and refreshing artistic form. The visual effects and the design of the stage inspired me greatly. Maybe in the future, during our symphony orchestra performance, we can learn from the technology as well, so as to give a great audio and visual experience to our audience."

Mr. Lu continued, "In fact, this is the first time I have known about this performing group. I wish I had known about them earlier. I hope they can come to Taiwan more often." Mr. Lu said that if Divine Performing Arts comes back next year, he would invite all the members from the symphony orchestra to see the show.
