CCP Interference Fails to Dim the Glory of the Divine Performing Arts - Part 4 - London (Photos)

March 16, 2008

(Clearwisdom.net) Three Divine Performing Arts performances that were originally scheduled to take place on February 26 and 27 at the KBS Theatre in Pusan, Korea were canceled due to pressure from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Unfortunately, this kind of pressure doesn't happen only in Korea. People all over the world have embraced the Divine Performing Arts shows, holding them in extremely high regard. Experience has proven that CCP interference fails to achieve its purpose and instead, in many cases, serves to lead more people to learn about the Divine Performing Arts and see the show. Not only that, they also come to recognize the Party's inherent nature to deceive the public and destroy China's rich cultural past.

Interference was also present in the United Kingdom, and here too, the CCP failed in their attempts to bring harm to the show.

The Divine Performing Arts saw full houses for all four shows held at the Royal Festival Hall in London. The group presented what many thought to be an extraordinary artistic feast for the 10,000 locals who saw the show. Due to high demand, the theater decided to offer tickets for seats with partially obstructed views, to give the many who still wanted to see the sold out show an opportunity to do so. A long line of people outside the box office eagerly snapped up the tickets. During the performance, waves of applause broke out from time to time, conveying appreciation for the grandeur of the Spectacular. Londoners, known for their conservative manner, were unusually excited and enthusiastic.

The CCP pressured management at the Royal Festival Hall to turn away the Divine Performing Arts in the weeks and months before the show. They also threatened to "cause trouble." Instead, the Divine Performing Arts touched many hearts in London, a modern, industrial city and financial capital that is also blessed with a rich variety of arts. Praises such as "Excellent! Outstanding! Gorgeous! Marvelous!" were echoed many times in the concert hall. Londoners with sophisticated taste in art and music expressed their support and love for the Divine Performing Arts with applause, cheers, and a packed house. The DPA show will no doubt perform for a much longer run in London next year.

Peter Clark, a former producer for the BBC, said he loved seeing the performance and that it conveyed traditional Chinese cultural values in a way that was different from the Communist Party, "This show emphasized 'Truth-Compassion-Tolerance.'" He also expressed the understanding that a nation's traditional culture does not belong to a certain political party. "The Communist Party's interference with the Divine Performing Arts is really ludicrous. The performances will certainly attract more people," he said.

"Simply marvelous! Out of this world!" was the comment of Mr. Fearn, an instructor at the Royal Academy of Dance who has been to China twice. He also added, "I have a Chinese heart."

Peter Galant, a singer and songwriter, watched the Spectacular twice. He said the more he watches the Divine Performing Arts, the more he is touched by the feeling of beauty, radiance, and hope brought by the Spectacular, and the more he discovers its unique wonder. He said the artists [in the] Divine Performing Arts who are passionate about their craft expressed a universal value that transcends religion, conveys the power of compassion, and inspires people to think about the eternity of their lives. He hopes the Divine Performing Arts will stage more shows around the world in order to bring positive changes to the current culture and society.

Ms. Jin, who arrived from Mainland China as a student many years ago and now works in commerce, uttered these heartfelt words, "Divine Performing Arts stands for hope for mankind, and the show makes you feel something that is real and tangible, that tells you what you really need in terms of spiritual pursuit."

Cheng Shui from Mainland China said, "Traditional Chinese culture not only touches Chinese people but also moves non-Chinese to tears. When the show ended, we clapped our hands off! The Divine Performing Arts is indeed magnificent and dazzling! It has made us Chinese proud, and I'm really grateful toward the Divine Performing Arts! We are all Chinese, so shouldn't we also do something [to promote authentic Chinese culture]?

Mr. Zhuang, a Chinese immigrant working in the arts, could hardly contain his excitement, "Divine Performing Arts has done a great thing! In this information age, any attempt to block these shows is futile. I believe Divine Performing Arts will be known in China sooner or later, there's no doubt about that!"

The Communist Party's desperate struggle against the show will only help expose its evil nature.
