(Clearwisdom.net) Todays' News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities and counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during their detention and at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Ms. Wen Bin, in her 60s, is a retired teacher from Sifangjing Elementary School in Jiangbei District. On March 25, police from the Jiangbei District Police Department arrested her. She is being detained in the Jiangbei District Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Yang is a teacher in Nangang District, Harbin City. At noon on March 20, 2008, she was arrested at the Ziya Design School. Now she is being detained in Yaziquan, Daoli District, Harbin City.

On the morning of March 21, 2008, police from the 610 Office of Farm 851, broke into the homes of Ms. Niu Xifen, Mr. Sun Shouzhang, and another practitioner. The police took away computers and printers and arrested the three practitioners. Currently, Mr. Sun Shouzhang and the other practitioners have been released. Ms. Niu Xifen is being detained in the Beishan Detention Center in Lianzhushan Town, Mishan City.

Mr. Ma Shengli and Ms. Xiuting, his wife, are practitioners from Shunping, Baoding City. On the morning of March 10, 2008, Shunping Police searched their home and took them away. The police confiscated Dafa books, Master's pictures, etc. Now their whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liang Shuxin Sent to a Brainwashing Center
Mr. Liang Shuxin lives in Yuannanliu Town, Fangzi District, Weifang City. In the beginning of March 2008, after being released from the Shandong Second Forced Labor Camp, he was directly sent to the Weifang Brainwashing Center.
In the forced labor camp, Mr. Liang Shuxin insisted on upholding his beliefs. He could not walk by himself as a result of the brutal treatment he was subjected to.
8. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Additional Information about the Persecution of Ms. Zhao Fengrong
Ms. Zhao Fengrong, 70 years old, lives on Huada Jiucai Lane, Fuzhou City. On the night of March 27, 2008, she was arrested near the Tongpan Elementary School. Afterwards, the police searched her home and took away a computer, a printer, CDs, etc. Now Ms. Zhao is being detained in the Fuzhou First Detention Center.

On March 24, 2008, policemen Xu Zhiqiang and Li Shengli from the Songmen Police Station, which is affiliated with the Shunhe Police Department in Kaifeng City, deceived Ms. Lu Ying into going to the station and then arrested her.

Mr. Zhang Junyan is 65 years old and lives in the family housing of the music institute in Xicheng District, Beijing. On March 17, 2008, he was arrested by police while he was distributing truth-clarifying materials. Afterwards, his home was ransacked.
At 10 am on March 18, 2008, police went to search the home of practitioner Ms. Zhang Shuying and arrested her.
At 2 p.m. on March 18, 2008, police brook into the home of a female practitioner with the surname of Niu. The practitioner is 75 years old. The police arrested her and her husband. The practitioner's husband was released that night.
13. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Xing Shuhua Arrested at Zhanqian Street on March 28, 2008
14. [Qingyun County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Meilan and Ms. Sheng Guiying Arrested
At 10 pm on March 30, 2008, Ms. Zhang Meilan, around 70 years old and 67-year-old Ms. Sheng Guiying were reported to police by the villagers of Weijiawa. Officers from the Qingyun Town Police Station arrested them, searched their homes and took 13,000 yuan from Ms. Sheng Guiying's home. They are being detained in the Qingyun County Police Department.
15. [Tianjin City] Information about Practitioners Arrested on February 28, 2008
On February 28, 2008, several practitioners were arrested in Tanggu District, Tianjin City. Mr. Xu Guoqiang was released the next day because of his health. Ms. Tong Demei was released recently after her family had 30,000 yuan extorted from them. Other arrested practitioners included Mr. Bai Hong, Mr. Qi Changrong, Ms. Song Hongcui, and Ms. Xu Guomin.
16. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xiaomin Arrested and Her Family Members Harassed
At 9 p.m. on March 24, Chen Jushan, Head of the Politics and Security Section of Yongnian County, and about 30 policemen from the Third Team and the Liuhan Township Police Station went to Ms. Liu Xiaomin's home at Beiyingu Village. Ms. Liu Xiaomin and her husband, as well as two of her uncles, were arrested. The police also took one copy of Zhuan Falun, one copy of the Nine Commentaries, and the new TV. Because her husband and uncles do not practice Falun Gong, they were released soon after.
Later on the police went to search the home of Mr. Liu Xiaomin's parents. At that time there was no one at home. The police climbed onto the roof, lifted up the tiles over the bathroom, threw the tiles on the street, jumped into the house, and took away a computer, camera, cellphone, etc.

Police from the Xinzhan Police Station in Jiaohe City arrested Ms. Shi Xiuzhen. She is being detained in a detention center where she was tortured and cannot stand as a result.

At 2 p.m. on March 23, 2008, Mr. Liu Quanwang was arrested at his home by policeman Fu Guangchang and others from the Xiaolinghe Police Station of the Nanpiao Mining Administration Office in Huludao City. Mr. Li Jianqiang is 31 years old and graduated from the Chemistry Department of Shandong University in 2001. He is a researcher in the Shandong Provincial Medicine Industrial Institute. On March 24 or 25, 2008, 610 Office agents arrested him while he was working. Now he is being detained in the Jinan City Detention Center.

They were questioned by police from the National Security Team. Liu Xiaona's cell phone was confiscated and then the police took his mother and daughter to the Sunzu Township Police Station and illegally interrogated them for a whole night. The two were released the following morning.
