April 30, 2008

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 18, 2008, the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) had their first show in the Prinzregenten Theater in Munich, Germany--the last stop of their European trip. There were several dozen notables from the areas of politics, the economy, and entertainment, including Sir John George from Hohenzollern, District of Baden-Wurttemberg.

The Munich audience welcomed the Chinese Spectacular with heartfelt applause from the very first program "Descending of the Celestial Kings" until the last, "The Power of Awareness." The audience broke out into spontaneous applause throughout the show and gave a lengthy standing ovation after the last curtain call.

The following are comments from three interviews with audience members.

An expert in political relations: I will recommend the show to others

Mr. Thomas Wenisch, from Africa, is an expert in political relations. He said, "I really liked the show. I had several favorites. If I had to pick one, it would be the drumming. I also liked the dance techniques, the elegant dances, the variety of programs, the elements in the dances, and the colorfulness. It was very beautiful overall."

He continued, "I came from Africa and I personally never learned anything before about Chinese culture. Although I have often visited the East, I have never been to China. I think I will recommend the show to others."

Journalist: I must have been Chinese in one of my previous lives

A journalist, Ms. Jasmin Krafft, praised the show, "It is very creative and enlightening. I like the colorfulness, the matching colors, the elegant and graceful expressiveness, and the facial expressions of the performers. The gracefulness of the female performers is particularly attractive."

She continued, "The dances such as 'Nymphs of the Sea' are very harmonious and colorful. This is the first time I have seen this show. It is very attractive."

She said, "I am not Chinese in this life, but I must have been in one of my previous lives."

Commenting on the performances reflecting the current social situation, she said, "I think the show is very good. Things like spiritual pursuit, religion, freedom, and equality are not limited to a certain country. These are issues of the world. These performances enlightened me to think about what my own standings are on these issues, how I treat my spiritual pursuit and my religion, and how I view violence. I do not think this is getting political."

An architect: This show is perfect

A specialist in architecture, Ms. Margit Cofess Piltti of Munich, thought that the show was perfect. She said, "The dances are great. The performers are so skilled. The vocalists have beautiful voices. The costumes are colorful, the music is great. The entire show is very wonderful, wonderful." She expressed herself in limited English and hand gestures.

She said that she liked the "Mongolian Bowl Dance" and the Tibetan dance the most. She knew about many aspects of traditional Chinese culture, ancient Chinese people, and their poems and drawings.

Ms. Piltti noticed many differences between German culture and Chinese culture, such as their costumes and decoration of the theater. She also noticced that the two cultures have some similarities. She told the reporter, "I like the DPA very much."

When she heard that the CCP was trying to interfere with the show, she said, "Whoever wants to interfere would be a fool."
