Mr. Li, a Falun Gong practitioner, said, "Nine years ago I personally experienced the April 25th appeals. The Falun Gong practitioners who came to appeal were many, and they came from different places and different walks of life. They had trust in the government, and everyone hoped that the government would treat Falun Gong fairly. The entire process was calm and benign, displayed in front of the whole world was the practitioners' embodiment of 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance'. In response, the CCP launched its brutal persecution. To date, the persecution has continued for nine years."
