Chinese Immigrant in Australia: Spectacular Provides Light of Hope for China (Photos)

April 7, 2008

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 5, the Divine Performing Arts New York Group gave its last presentation of the Chinese Spectacular at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. The show attracted many Chinese immigrants. Among them, Mr. Sidao Gui from Guangxi said that the show was fascinating and the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" portrayed by the show were uplifting.

Mr. Gui Sidao, who came to Australia more than 7 years ago, said that he had been anticipating the show for a long time. "I heard news of the show quite a while ago, and I have been following newspaper reports about it. I bought tickets immediately, said Sidao. "The show is fascinating and portrays something very innocent. I knew that the performers were acting with their whole hearts when I saw their eyes and expressions. I have rarely seen such a fascinating performance."

Mr. Gui was touched by several pieces which portrayed Chinese legends. "'The Lady of the Moon' and 'The Loyalty of Yue Fei' portrayed famous Chinese legends which are dear to the hearts of people of my age, and they were very accurate, while the number, 'Drummers of the Tang Court' carried great energy. From the show, I feel that there is hope for China, as it portrays the power of justice and is very spiritually uplifting."

Gui commented that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has destroyed traditional Chinese culture, leaving devastating effect on morality. "The party cares about nothing but its political interests, and has done so much harm to China," he said.

Another spectator, Mr. Zhao, practices Chinese medicine and has been in Australia for 15 years. He said that it was his first time to see such a wonderful cultural performance. "The show was very good, and I have never seen such a great performance in China. My overall feeling is that it gives a successful presentation of 'Divine Culture,' bringing us a great feast of classical Chinese culture," said Mr. Zhao.

"From the perspective of Chinese medicine, spirit is a real substance, and there is a connection between body and spirit. Therefore, positive and beautiful things, as well as good environment are good for human health. Likewise, negative things will play a bad role. The show portrays the beauty of classical Chinese culture; we benefit a lot from it." Zhao observed.

Mr. Zhao's wife commented that the show gave them a great feeling of serenity. She said, "Most performances don't have such a wonderful effect. I hope that more people will have a chance to see this show. This is real Chinese stuff. We will come back for sure if they [Divine Performing Arts] come again."
