Ireland: Practitioners Hold an Activity Commemorating April 25 Appeal

May 3, 2008

(Clearwisdom.net) On the ninth anniversary of April 25, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners from Ireland held a candlelight vigil and petition outside the Chinese Embassy.

Practitioners unfurled two large Chinese and English banners reading 'The World Needs Truth-Compassion-Tolerance' and 'Stop persecuting Falun Gong'. They protested the brutality of the CCP peacefully, asking for the CCP to immediately stop persecuting Falun Gong and to release all the Falun Gong practitioners who have been illegally imprisoned.

Nine years ago this day, more than ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners went to the Beijing State Council Appeals Office to peacefully appeal for the release of fellow practitioners who had been unfairly imprisoned. Their peacefulness attracted close interest and were praised internationally, but received the jealousy and slander of Jiang Zemin, setting the stage for the persecution which continues to this day.

A Falun Gong practitioner named Mr. Zhang, who attended the April 25 commemoration, expressed that during the nine years of working against the persecution, facing the CCP's propaganda and lies, as well as torture and live organ harvesting and other such evil acts have still not scared Falun Gong practitioners. The steadfast practitioners on the contrary have grown up strong and sturdy, ever flourishing and growing. At the same time as the CCP continues to support this persecution, it is thoroughly destroying itself.
