(Clearwisdom.net) This report covers persecution cases from more than 13 provinces and 22 cities or counties. In this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were mistreated while in detention and 41 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Shanghai City] Ms. Zhu Xiufang and Others Detained
On the afternoon of June 6, 2008, Shanghai Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Zhu Xiufang (over 40 years old), Ms. Rong Xiaoqing (over 30 years old), Ms. Li Xiaohong (over 30 years old) and Ms. Liang Yunying (over 40 years old) were detained.
2. [Shanghai City] Minhang District Practitioner Ms. He Pinqin Taken to Qingpu Brainwashing Center in Early June 2008
3. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cong Guiping and Gao Xiuhua Held in a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Cong Guiping, 62 years old, was arrested by two police officers around 10:00 a.m. on May 13. Her home was ransacked that afternoon and some Falun Dafa materials were confiscated. Cong Guiping is now being detained at the Rizhao City Detention Center.
Ms. Gao Xiuhua, 46 years old, is an employee of Rizhao City Construction Bank. On May 20, Gao Xiuhua was seized on Kuishan Street by the Rizhao City Development District Public Security Bureau and the National Security Division. Her home was ransacked and Dafa materials were confiscated. Gao Xiuhua was held at the Rizhao City Detention Center and then sent on June 12 to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Shandong for 2 years of forced labor.
4. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Guifeng Arrested
Ms. Sun Guifeng was seized around 11:00 a.m. on June 3 and is now being held at Anqiu Detention Center.
5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yulan and Ms. Wan Bei Arrested
On June 8, 2008, Jinan Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Li Yulan and Ms. Wan Bei were reported for handing out truth-clarification materials in Zhangzhuang. They were arrested by Zhangzhuang Police and are now locked up at the Jinan Detention Center.
6. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Shi Min Arrested
Some time after 2:00 p.m. on June 12, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shi Min of Chaheji Township, Bazhou City, was seized by the Langfang 610 Office.
7. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Cui Zhanxiang Arrested
On June 13, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cui Zhanxiang, over 70 years old, of Liangtun Village, Xixindian Township, Botou City was arrested at his home. His wife, who is paralyzed, was left alone at home.
8. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
In the afternoon of June 7, 2008, Ms. Han Jinhuan and Ms. Yang Guihua of Baicao Township were arrested by the National Security Division and police from the Wei County 610 Office. On the morning of June 8, Ms. Guo Zhenghua was arrested by County 610 and National Security Division plainclothes police. They are now detained at Zhangjiakou Detention Center.
9. [Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Mei Detained at Dingxing County Detention Center
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo Mei of Gucheng Town, Dingxing County is around 40 years old. Around 10:00 a.m. on June 11, 2008, she was abducted by the Dingxing County National Security Division. Two televisions, a satellite receiver and an ink-jet printer were confiscated. She is now being held at the Dingxing County Detention Center.
10. [Jinyun City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Xu Qinglian and Ms. Ma Shufen Arrested
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Ma Shufen is over 50 years old. In the middle of May 2008, she was arrested at Longquan and her home ransacked.
On the afternoon of June 11, 2008, as Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu Qinglian came out of her home, she was arrested. Two thousand yuan in cash for truth-clarification that she had on her was taken.
11. [Danyang, Jiangsu Province] Additional Information on the Arrests of Yang Yuzhen and Others
Danyang Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wang Yuqin and Ms. Yang Hanzhen were seized at the home of Wang Yuqin on the night of June 10. Yang Hanzhen's home was ransacked and Dafa materials were confiscated. Yang Hanzhen is now locked up at Danyang Detention Center. Yang Yuzhen and Wang Yuqin are being held at the Zhenjiang Detention Center.
12. [Shangqiu, Henan Province] Ms. Suo Fengxian Arrested
On the night of June 12, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Suo Fengxian was seized when she posted Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials in the city center.
13. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Cuizhen in a Forced Labor Camp
Around 8 o'clock on June 3, 2008, 55-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Cuizhen of Wen County, Jiaozuo City was arrested and sent to Zhengzhou Women's Forced Labor Camp.
14. [Shanxi Province] Liang Hong and His Wife Li Shuyi Arrested
On the night of June 11, 2008, Taiyuan City police abducted Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Liang Hong, his wife Ms. Li Shuyi and their daughter Liang Yangdan from the Shanxi Province Institute of Agricultural Sciences. On the second morning they sent Liang Yangdan home. The whereabouts of Liang Hong and his wife are unknown.
15. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Yan Jing Interrogated and Tortured
Henan Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yan Jing was arrested by the National Security Division of Guancheng District Public Security Bureau in Zhengzhou City on May 26, 2008. Police tortured her for over three hours. She is now detained at the West District Brainwashing Center in Zhengzhou.
16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Yingxia Arrested
At 5:00 p.m. on June 11, 2008, Xindu District Electronic Road 103 Factory engineer Ms. Wang Yingxia and Ms. Yang Bing were arrested by Chengxi Police for posting truth-clarification materials. Their homes were ransacked. Yang Bing was not arrested as she is disabled. Wang Yingxia is now being held at the Xindu Detention Center.
17. [Chongqing City] Yan Chengyu Arrested
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yan Chengyu of Jiangbei District, Chongqing City is 67 years old. At 4:00 p.m. on June 10, 2008, she was arrested at her home by police from the National Security Division in the Jiangbei District Sub-bureau. Her Dafa books, cassettes, MP3 player, disks, Teacher's picture and truth-clarification materials were confiscated. Yan Chengyu is currently locked up in Yubei District.
18. [Hailar Hulunbeier, Mongolia] Mr. Zhou Xueli Arrested
Hailar Hulunbeier University associate professor Mr. Zhou Xueli was arrested by police on June 6. His home was ransacked and his house keys were taken away.
19. [Guangan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Jiquan Arrested
On May 31, 2008, 80-year-old widow Ms. Jiang Jiquan of Hehua Village, Hengsheng Town was arrested.
20. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Xiuxian and Others Arrested
During the morning of either May 13 or 14, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners of Ande, Pi County Ms. He Xiuxian and Ms. Yin Bifang were arrested by police from the Ande Town Police Station while they were talking to people about Dafa in Ande Town. The whereabouts of He Xiuxian and Yin Bifang are unknown.
21. [Renhuai City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Wang Guilin and Ms. Lin Wenqin Arrested
At noon on May 20, 2008, Renhuai City Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wang Guilin and Ms. Lin Wenqin were arrested by Tanchang Town police while they were talking to people about Dafa in Xiaoba Village, Tanchang Town. Their homes were ransacked and they are both now held at Renhuai Detention Center.
22. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Xu Qixiu Arrested
On the morning of June 11, Ms. Xu Qixiu was seized by plainclothes police when she was talking to people about Falun Gong in the market. Seven people paraded her through the street, forcing her to hold truth-clarification materials high in the air. She shouted loudly along the way, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Gong practitioners are all good people!"
23. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Xuqun and Ms. Chen Baoyu Arrested
On the morning of June 13, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. He Xuqun, over 40 years old, and Ms. Chen Baoyu, 52 years old were arrested when they handed out truth-clarification materials on the street.
24. [Liangshan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Zhiqiang Arrested
On June 12, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Zhiqiang was arrested by the Butuo Public Security Bureau for clarifying the truth to people.
25. [Chongqing City] Ms. Liu Qingbi Detained at the Nanping Police Station for 15 Days for Distributing Truth-Clarification Materials in the Supermarket on June 11
26. [Dongkou County, Hunan Province] Police Take Advantage of Olympic Torch Relay to Detain Several Falun Gong Practitioners in County Detention Center
27. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. Chen Jianping and Ms. Chen Jiwen Arrested
On April 12, 2008, Xianning Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Chen Jianping and his wife Chen Jiwen gave someone a 2008 Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular DVD on the way to a relative's home. They were reported and arrested by policemen from the Xianan District National Security Division and Tingsi Bridage Police Station of Xianning City.
Chen Jianping is detained at Xianan District No. 1 Detention Center in Xianning City. Chen Jiwen is being persecuted at Wuhan Brainwashing Center.
28. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Lin Ying Arrested on June 14, 2008
29. [Bengbu City, Anhui Province] Mr. Wu Huaming Arrested
Mr. Wu Huaming is about 50 years old. On June 3, 2008, he was reported and arrested for clarifying the truth at his workplace. He is now being held at Bengbu Railway Detention Center.
30. [Haicheng, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yi Baohai Arrested
On the morning of June 6, 2008, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yi Baohai of Xiliu Town, Haicheng was arrested by police from the Haicheng Public Security Bureau and Xiliu Police Station. He is now being persecuted at the Haicheng Detention Center.
31. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Guoxing Arrested
Shulan City Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Guoxing, 60 years old, was arrested by police from the Beicheng Police Station. He is now being detained at Nanshan Detention Center.
32. [Tianjin City] Dagang District 610 and Police Harass Practitioners
At around 7:00 p.m. on June 14, agents from the Tianjin City Dagang District 610 Office and police surrounded the home of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Wanming and harassed him. Meanwhile, Dagang District Health Bureau used the excuse of an "urgent meeting" to hold, under duress, practitioners working for Dagang District Disease Prevention Center and Women and Child Health Center. These practitioners included Ms. Zhu Qiaoyun and Ms. Bai Shuqin.
33. [Yanzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Jianxun Arrested
On the night of June 13, 2008, Yanzhou City Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sun Jianxun was abducted by police from the Xiaomeng Police Station for clarifying the truth and distributing Dafa materials. His computer and other belongings were confiscated. Sun Jianxun is now being detained at the Yanzhou City Public Security Bureau Detention Center.
34. [Guangan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Yuanlan and Mr. Deng Qixin Arrested
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. He Yuanlan of Lushi Town, Huaying, is 52 years old. On May 26, 2008 while He Yuanlan was eating in a restaurant, she was seized by police from the Lushi Town Police Station. She was forced to write a guarantee statement promising not to practice Falun Gong, not to distribute Falun Gong flyers and not to say that Falun Gong is good, as otherwise, she would be sentenced to forced labor immediately.
On June 9, 2008, Huaying City Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Deng Qixin was arrested and detained at Huaying City Detention Center.
35. [Wanquan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Suxiang and Ms. Wen Guiyun Arrested
Around 10:30 p.m. on June 13, 2008, over ten people from the Wanquan County Public Security Bureau and National Security Division broke into the homes of Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Yang Suxiang and Ms. Wen Guiyun. They confiscated a television, VCD, CD burner and several hundreds CDs. Two practitioners were taken to the County Public Security Bureau and sent to Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou on June 16th.
