(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 11 provinces. As per this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 53 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Chongqing] Ms. Cui Xiuqin Died As a Result of Persecution
Ms. Cui Xiuqin, 72, from Dajiang Factory, Chongqing, was almost blind. Lianshi Police Station agents from the Banan District Police Department in Chongqing arrested her at home in August 2008. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Dafa books and materials, and 800 yuan in cash. Soon after that, her home was again ransacked, and Ms. Cui was sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was unable to take care of herself because she was extremely frightened. She died in a hospital in August 2009.
2. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Hu Shiying Arrested
Officials from the 610 Office in Hefei City arrested Ms. Hu Shiying around September 20, 2009.
3. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Yin Xiuyun Arrested Again and Taken to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Yin Xiuyun from Hefei City was reported the evening of September 3, 200, and arrested. Her home was also ransacked. After a 15-day detention, she was again arrested and taken to the Feixi Philippines Hostel Brainwashing Center and has yet to be released.
4. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Mr. Guo Xiang Illegally Detained
Mr. Guo Xiang, 72, was arrested on September 24, 2009, and is currently being held at the county detention center.
5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Ying Arrested
Ms. Yang Ying was arrested around 9:00 a.m. on September 23, 2009, while she was distributing materials about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was taken to the Longquan Police Station and transferred to a detention center that night. That same afternoon, five Longquan Police Station agents ransacked her home and confiscated Dafa books, discs, and recorders.

6. [Fujin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Xianglian Arrested
On the morning of October 1, 2009, Ms. Qu Xianglian was illegally arrested at home by officials from the Dongping Police Station led by Pei Xiaodong, head of the police station. Her non-practitioner son was also forcibly arrested but was released later that afternoon. Ms. Qu is currently being held at the Fujinnan Detention Center.

7. [Fuxin County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Dianhua Arrested
Ms. Li Dianhua from Zhizhushan Township, Fuxin County, was arrested at around 11:00 p.m. on September 30, 2009. Officials from the Fuxin County Public Security Bureau including Wang Peng, head of that division, participated in her arrest.

8. [Shanghai] Information on the Unlawful Arrest of Mr. Deng Zhijun
The Minxing District Public Security Bureau, the Jindu Police Station, and the local neighborhood committee who were instigated by the 610 Office in the Minxing District to arrest Mr. Deng Zhijun, 3,2 on September 28, 200,9 and ransack his home. The police confiscated a Dafa book, his computer, and a printer. Mr. Deng is being held at the Minxing District Detention Center. His pregnant wife, Ms. Wang Minhui, was arrested at her workplace by officials from the Jindu Police Station. Due to the pregnancy, Ms. Wang wasn't subjected to illegal detention.
9. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Many Practitioners Arrested
Officials from the Xiangyang Police Station arrested Ms. Chen Yuhua, Mr. Feng Shujun, Mr. Liu Tingyuan, Ms. Zhou Weirong, and Ms. Tang Lizhen while they were having tea together on September 20, 2009. These practitioners are all over 50. Five days later, Ms. Chen , Mr. Feng, Ms. Zhou, and Ms. Tang were released and were threatened and ordered not to expose the unlawful arrest. Mr. Liu is still detained.
Ms. Ye Wenjun was arrested while she was telling people the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution in Qiaotou Park in Guanghan City on September 20, 2009. The police subsequently ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, and other valuables.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Chen Minghua, Ms. Li Chaoqun, and Mr. Li Bidong were retired from the Hongguang Electron Tube Factory in the Chenghua District of Chengdu City. They were arrested on September 23, 2009, while waiting for a bus outside the Trust-Mart on Xinhong Road. Officials from the Xinhong Police Station participated. The practitioners' whereabouts are so far unknown.
11. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] The Persecution of Ms. Ren Guangmei
Prior the 2008 Olympic Games, Ms. Ren Guangmei from Ganjialiang Village, Tumu Township, Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, was harassed and persecuted by Ganjialiang Village CCP secretary Ren Guangqi and officials from the Tumu Township Government. Ren Guangqi kept her under surveillance and reported her and another person who used to practice Falun Gong. Sun Youzhi from the Tumu Township Comprehensive Treatment Office went to Ms. Ren Guangmei's home, took her identity card, and forced her to write the guarantee statement, promising not to practice in the future.
At 2:00 a.m. on June 24, several policemen broke into her home, arrested her, and took her to a brainwashing center. The police there forced her to watch TV programs and to write a guarantee statement, and even tried to make her step on photos of the founder of Falun Gong. When she refused, the police detained her for one month.
12. [Panshi City, Jilin Province] Over 20 Practitioners Arrested
Since June, 2008, agents from the 610 Office and from the Domestic Security Division in Panshi City have arrested more than 20 practitioners: Mr. Liu Qingtian, Mr. Yu Xiaojian, Mr. Ding Jingwen, Ms. Pei Xiulan, Ms. Peng Kunyan, Mr. Zhang Dong, Ms. Zhou Fengyan, Ms. Liu Xia, Ms. Sun Fenglan, Ms. Li Yanrong, Ms. Song Yuzhu, Ms. Jiang Fengyun, Ms. Li Ping, Ms. Liu Limei, Ms. Jin Yongli, Mr. Xin Ming, Mr. Qu Gui, Ms. Wang Yanchun, Ms. Zhou Fengxia, Ms. Liu Min, Mr. Wang Lijun, Ms. Qian Xiai, Ms. Cheng Xiuxia and Ms. Zhang Yuxian. They have those far not been released.
In addition, they were separately sentenced to imprisonment on May 15, May 21, May 22, and July 10, 2009. Ms. Zhou Fengxia and Ms. Jin Yongli: three year- and five-year suspended sentences. The others: three years to twelve years. They were separately sent to the Gongzhuling Prison and the Changchun Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Jin Yongli has become psychotic as a result of gross abuse and mistreatment.

13. [Tianjin] Ms. Xu Guizhen and Mr. Hong Shengxi Arrested
On October 3, 2009, Ms. Xu Guizhen (Ms. Liu Yaming's mother) and Mr. Hong Shengxi (Ms. Liu's husband) from the Dongli District in Tianjin went to the Fengnian Village Police Station to request the release of Ms. Liu Yaming. Instead, they were arrested and detained.
14. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Kong Fanxiao Arrested and Home Ransacked
Around October 1, 2009, Houan Town Police Station officials in Fushun County arrested Mr. Kong Fanxiao and ransacked his home.
15. [Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Chunrong Arrested
Around 9:00 a.m. on September 20, 2009, Mr. Liu Chunrong from rthe No.8 Section of Shengli Oil Field was followed while he was telling people the facts about Falun Gong and was then arrested. He is currently detained and being persecuted at the Gongying Brainwashing Center.
16. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Information Regarding the Persecution of Mr. Luo Xiangjiang
Mr. Luo Xiangjiang, 45, worked at the Yuantong Pump Industry Limited Company in Xiangtan City. On September 16, 2009, officials from the Xiangtan City State Security Bureau and the Shuyuan Road Police Station broke into his home and arrested him. They also took his computer, cash, deposit book, cellphone, pay card, camera, and other personal belongings. His family was informed that he was taken to the Xiangtan City Detention Center on September 22, 2009. The following day, when Mr. Luo's wife and brother went to the Xiangtan City State Security Bureau to ask for their own computer, the 610 Office head arrested Mr. Luo's wife and took her to the Wujiahuayuan Brainwashing Center. She was released on October 1, 2009, but was still under surveillance by State Security Bureau personnel.

17. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiang Wenlan and Mr. Liu Cheng Arrested
Ms. Xiang Wenlan and Mr. Liu Cheng from Yichang City were arrested before October 1, 2009. The police ransacked their home and confiscated their computers, printer, and informational materials, including copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
18. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region] Ms. Deng Li Transferred to the Xinjiang No. 2 Women's Prison
Ms. Deng Li from Urumqi City was arrested in the middle of September 2008. She has been held and mistreated in the Liudaowan Women's Detention Center in Urumqi City ever since. Her family members are forbidden from visiting her.
19. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Han Yuhua Arrested and Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Han Yuhua from Daqing City was arrested on September 24, 2009. Officials from the Honggang Police Department in Daqing City participated. They transferred her without due process of law to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center, where she will be held for one year. Visits are forbidden.
20. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Cao Yachun and Mr. Yan Depu
Following unlawful arrest and detention, Ms. Cao Yachun and Mr. Yan Depu from Leting County, Tangshan City, were sentenced to forced labor the afternoon of August 28, 2009, by Leting County Police Department officials. Ms. Cao was sent to the Hebei No. One Forced Labor Camp for two years; Mr. Yan was sent to the Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp.
Around 6:00 p.m. on September 27, 2009, Ms. Kan Xiaoru from Leting County, Tangshan City, was arrested by officials from the Xinzhai Town Police Station, and is currently in the Leting County Detention Center.
21. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Detailed Information Regarding the Persecution of Mr. Liu Wenbo
Around 7:00 p.m. on September 26, 2009, Mr. Liu Wenbo from the Nanbaokaifa District in Tangshan City was subjected to an unlawful body search ordered by Li Quancong from the Nanbao Developing Department in Tangshan City. Mr. Liu had been walking outside his home. Two days later he was arrested from home and taken to the Nanbao Developing Department and tortured until midnight. He was transferred the following morning to the Tangshan Detention Center.
22. [Jilin Province] Thirteen Nongan County Practitioners Arrested
Between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, county officials committed a crime. Nongan County Domestic Security Division head Tang Ke and other officials broke into private residences. They arrested 13 practitioners. These lawbreakers confiscated Dafa books and information about Falun Dafa and the persecution and took money and other valuables. The arrested practitioners included Ms. Li Xueli, Ms. Wang Shurong, Ms. Li Xia, Ms. Li Quanxia, Mr. Chen Wentao, Mr. Chen Wenlei, Mr. Liu Yinghua, Mr. Zhao Chenghe, and Mr. Zhang. They were held at the Wugongli Detention Center in Nongan County.
23. [Xinmi City, Henan Province] Ms. Ma Xifeng Arrested
On September 16, 2009, Ms. Ma Xifeng, 46, from Dougou Village, Quliang Township, Xinmi City, was arrested at her own barbershop. The police not only ransacked her barbershop and confiscated valuables but also ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and printer. Ms. Ma was held at the Xinmi City Detention Center that same day.

24. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tian Arrested and Her Family under Surveillance
Ms. Tian from Changchun City was arrested at her workplace on September 29, 2009. At the same time, her son and another practitioner were arrested at Ms. Tian's home. Her home was already under surveillance.
25. [Pingyao County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Guihua Detained
Ms. Liu Guihua, 41, is a practitioner from Liji Village, Yuebi Township, Pingyao County. After July 20, 1999, her husband was arrested twice and was separately given one year and a half of imprisonment and three years of imprisonment. After his release, officials from the 610 Office and Public Security Bureau head Ren Zhiqiang always went to Ms. Liu's home to harass her.
The afternoon of March 17, 2009, Ren Zhiqiang and more than ten persons ransacked Ms. Liu's home and confiscated Dafa books and lectures, information about Falun Dafa and the persecution, and discs and an MP3 player. Ms. Liu escaped. The police ransacked her mother's home in the middle of the night but found nothing. Ms. Liu Guihua had decided to leave home to avoid further persecution but was arrested and taken to the Jinzhong Detention Center in Yuci City on September 21, 2009.

26. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Xie Lihua
It has been more than three months since Ms. Xie Lihua's arrest by officials from the Baixia District Public Security Bureau in Nanjing City. She is currently being held and subjected to abuse and gross mistreatment at Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province. Her family has made many requests to visit her, but all have been denied.
Since July 20, 1999, Ms. Xie has already been persecuted twice in Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp; this is her third time there.

27. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Song Fangming and Ms. Zhou Guihua Arrested
At 10:00 a.m. on September 28, 2009 officials from the Tianxin District State Security Bureau, the Tianxin District Police Department, and the Pozi Street Police Station broke into the home of Ms. Song Fangming mother, Ms. Zhou Guihua, and arrested the residents, who are 55 and 76 and blind. The police also ransacked their home and took away valuables including a computer. Right now, Ms. Song is in the Changsha City Detention, and her mother, Ms. Zhou, is being detained at the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center.

Around 10:00 p.m. on September 29, 2009, Ms. Zhang Renju and Ms. Hu Xia were arrested. Participating in their arrests were seven officials from the Public Security Bureau of the Xindu District Police Department. The police ransacked their home and took away photos of Master, Dafa books and materials, one computer, one recorder, one 1022 printer, two 4500 printers, and cash.
Ms. Hu's whereabouts are so far unknown. Ms. Zhang was taken to the Chenghua District Public Security Bureau in Chengdu City that same evening.
30. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Xiuyun Arrested and Home Ransacked
Ms. Wei Xiuyun from Jinzhou City was arrested on September 14, 2009. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer and printer. Her family said that Ms. Wei was sentenced to one year of imprisonment on September 24, 2009, and sent to Shenyang.
