How Many Death Causes Have Been Covered Up?

Oct. 19, 2009 |   By Liaoran

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 5, 2009, the Minghui website reported that Ms. Zhang Yulin died on May 11, 2001 at the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she had been imprisoned since the beginning of April 2001. Ms. Zhang, 49, was a practitioner from Beilunli Street, Xingang area, Tanggu District, Tianjin. On the day that Ms. Zhang's husband was informed of her death, he went to the forced labor camp. There, he was told that Ms. Zhang had died as a result of injuries she sustained after falling from a window while she was cleaning it. He was allowed a quick look at her body as it was sent for cremation.

Even in that short time, Ms. Zhang's husband noticed that her body had many cuts, and many bruises were visible on her neck, hands, arms, and feet. When he visited her the day before, on May 10, she did not have those injuries. During the visit, camp administration officials had threatened him, saying that he had to persuade Ms. Zhang to give up her belief in Falun Dafa. Was her death really an accident? What had really happened before her death?

According to an insider, after Ms. Zhang's husband visited her on May 10, a guard said, "(She) is a tough one. Let's spice up her night and see if she remains so tough." For the remainder of the night, several guards and inmates tortured her.

On the day of Ms. Zhang's death, a guard called a doctor, who was imprisoned for practicing Falun Dafa, out from her cell. Later, she returned to her cell with a pale face, saying, "I was called to confirm a death. She was indeed dead. The guards did not allow us to spread the news. They only allowed us to say that she fell while cleaning a window and died from a heart attack."

Given this information, it seems highly likely that Ms. Zhang had died from torture, and the labor camp officials did not allow a close examination of her body to cover up her wrongful death.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for ten years. There are more than 3,000 confirmed death cases reported through unofficial channels. Has the CCP ever given a true "cause of death" during this persecution?

In April 2001, Ms. Wang Huajun was burned alive. She was a practitioner in Baiguo Town, Macheng City, Hubei Province. She was arrested and seriously beaten in the Macheng City Police Department. Late at night, officers carried the unconscious Ms. Wang to the square in front of the city government and set her on fire. An eyewitness saw Ms. Wang laying on the ground. As the fire was lit, she began to move. It looked like that she was struggling to get up, but she failed. After the fire was extinguished, people found that the front of her body was scorched while the back of her body showed no signs of burns. They also found gashes on her neck and the back of her head. On the second day, news quickly spread around the city about a practitioner self-immolating in front of the government building, whose face was unrecognizable.

Another practitioner, Ms. Li Shumin, also died while in the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Li was in her early thirties, and she worked as a charge nurse at the Tianjin Secondary Medical School Affiliated Hospital. In November 2002, guards shocked her with several electrical batons simultaneously until she died. She died with her eyes open, bruises covering her body, and injuries to the back of her head. "Sudden death" was the cause listed on her death certificate. Guards claimed that Ms. Li "died from a sudden heart attack" and did not permit her family to see her body.

On January 28, 2009, 66-year-old Mr. Jiang Xiqing from the Jiangjin District, Chongqing was beaten unconscious by guards in the Chongqing Xishanping Forced Labor Camp. The forced labor camp's administration pronounced his death to be a result of "myocardial infarction". When Mr. Jiang's children saw his body after it had been refrigerated for seven hours, they found that he showed signs of life. They asked for immediate medical attention. Guards refused and proceeded to cremate Mr. Jiang even though he was still alive.

Then, on April 22, 2009, officers from Xuanwu District, Beijing beat Mr. Sun Min to death, then fabricated the scene of him "falling from a high-rise building" before dawn on April 23. They said that Mr. Sun committed suicide by "jumping off a building". Ms. Sun had moved from Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia to the Jiaomen area of Fengtai District, Beijing to escape harassment.

The CCP has covered up all these cases, and who knows how many more. They are still keeping information from the public. Please pass the facts to the people around you.
