1. Starting with Dafa

I was once a criminal in prison. I was granted parole in May 1996. At the time, I was extremely depressed and felt like I was at the lowest point in my life. Fortunately I met a Dafa practitioner who introduced Dafa to me. From that point on I began my cultivation path to return to my original, true self.

Before practicing Falun Dafa I had a debauched and meaningless life. I smoked, drank and gambled. From Falun Dafa, I started to understand the true meaning of life and gradually eliminated my old bad habits. I was woken up. If not for Falun Dafa, I wouldn't be here today. Falun Dafa changed me completely, from the inside to the outside, and helped me to find the true path to return home.

2. Looking Within

The video "Fa Teaching Given to the Australian Practitioners" told me to look within. I began to understand the Fa based on the Fa, and I eliminated many attachments, including confining myself to my own understanding of things, enjoying finding others' gaps, not using the Fa to measure people, being complacent, not being serious when looking within, and pursuing fame from a show-off mentality. By looking within, I was able to find and then let go of my human attachments. It is truly a process of cultivating one's own character. Actively looking within is the foundation for advancing.

3. Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciple

In 2004, a practitioner asked me about setting up materials production center, saying that there was no well qualified candidate to do it. He asked whether I wanted to do it. I firmly sad, "Yes." The first step was to learn how to create CDs. Later I learned how to download and print materials. I had no prior computer experience. Fellow practitioner Mr. Wang held my hand to teach me how to do single click. I knew in my heart that I could learn it. Later I realized that Teacher had already given me these skills.

I have found many attachments and cultivation issues while working on the materials production center, and I have learned a lot from interactions with fellow practitioners. I realized that the process of helping other practitioners coincides with our own advancement. As I proceed on the path of cultivation, I will apply strict requirements for myself and be more diligent in doing the three things, to save more sentient beings.
