Geneva Audiences Touched By Shen Yun: "Hope For the Future!" (Photo)

Oct. 3, 2009

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Beyeler, manager of the Mont Blanc Boutique in Geneva, was deeply touched after seeing the New York-based Shen Yun show for the first time. He joined the enthusiastic audience at Geneva's Théâtre du Léman on Tuesday, September 29, and appreciatively said afterwards, "It touched me profoundly to see the heart that each person put into this ... the work that is behind this precision needed [for this performance]. Most of all, it takes an absolute commitment, and we were very, very seriously touched by the level of commitment that has been developed. It was magnificent!"

Mr. Beyeler came to the show with a group of colleagues and friends

Mr. Beyeler noted that China is the world's oldest culture and he was awed by the artists' ability to immerse the audience into each scene, song and music of the show. "I learned that we are behind in the area of culture. We have certainly grasped a piece of modernism, but we might not have conserved, or valued our history like this magnificent historical representation charged with energy and hope, of difficult times, and of strength and hope for the future."

Mr. Beyeler had come to see Shen Yun with several others and he shared that they were all quite moved by the show. "Listen, I'm telling you, I came with some friends and colleagues and there are quite a few of us who remarked that there are scenes that give you goose bumps, literally. It was extremely gripping with extremely strong effects. The presentation of the music's magnificence and the decor was simply amazing," he said.

He was pleased that Shen Yun artists are preserving the classical culture of ancient China and presenting it world-wide through the performances, "Some of these aspects were discoveries for me. It's true that China has 5,000 years of history. I don't think there are many places in the world that can claim such a thing, especially a history that is lived and that is still taught and promoted through such a show. I think we have a lot to learn in this domain. ... We should for sure think more of the past, think about what has forged our experiences and not forget lessons we should be learning from those sometimes painful events."

Mr. Beyeler said he would absolutely urge others to see Shen Yun. "It's wonderful, wonderful to see with your family, with colleagues, and it will likely bring you a feeling of strength and generosity at the same time," he shared. "It's moving. Absolutely moving. Full of stories and full of life!"
