A Miraculous Experience Browsing the Internet Even with a Disconnected Line

Oct. 30, 2009 |   By a practitioner in Guizhou Province

(Clearwisdom.net) I didn't notice the situation until two days before the October 1 Chinese Communist Party anniversary as I tried to download Minghui Weekly. I was taken aback and wondered why I couldn't connect to the Internet. I didn't even think that the Internet had been blocked. My first thought was that I had forgotten to pay the bill. After checking the payment schedule, I realized I had just paid it. Then I thought, was it because I didn't pass a test well and got hot-tempered with my family members or didn't do well in some aspect?

Whenever I run into a problem, I always take a step back by stopping what I am doing to look inside myself. So I turned off the computer and decided to study the Fa first, thinking that random thoughts wouldn't help anyway.

Since my home telephone had not worked for a while, I paid a technician to come repair it at my home. The technician checked the telephone but couldn't find any problem. He guessed that the telephone line might be the problem, so he checked the telephone line box. After he opened the box, he asked me, "Are you still using the Internet?" I answered, "Very often, in fact." He said, "Then the speed must be very slow." I told him that there had been no issue with speed. He said, "That's odd. How could the Internet still be available when there's hardly any signal?" He kept checking the phone line and traced it outside the house, until he found that the line outside the house was actually broken. After he reconnected the line, the phone became functional again. Since my broadband Internet shares the same line with the telephone, it's surprising to me that my Internet still worked even when there was no phone signal, and the speed was not even compromised. I later came to understand that the Internet line is just a form. When Dafa practitioners live up to the standard of the Fa in doing things, forms are not so important. What's important is our belief in Teacher and in the Fa. When we have the right mindset, everything will run smoothly.

This incident deeply touched me and led me to reconsider the cause for past occurrences of Internet interruptions. In short, I didn't treasure our Dafa website as much as I should. After logging-on, I had developed a habit of reading the news through the Dynamic Web and wasting time following trends in ordinary society. After the Qingxin Forum was shut down, I didn't look inward, as if Teacher's Fa was hinting other people, not me. Occasionally, I was even very irritable and didn't behave like a cultivator. Sometimes I displayed the attachment of showing off even when doing Dafa things, and I was very proud when I achieved something that other practitioners could not, feeling so very capable. Meanwhile, I felt that I was not being so diligent. While looking inward, I felt that I dared not face Teacher's picture. Teacher mentioned,

"It doesn't matter that you fell down, it doesn't matter! Quickly get up! "("Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")

At that time, I was in a hurry to download the Minghui Weekly and print it out for other practitioners, so I didn't think more about it. I just used the file downloaded by another practitioner to solve the immediate problem.

Later, after I found my attachments, I could browse the Internet every day. My thoughts are more righteously uninhibited and as simple as this: If I could access the Internet with a broken connection, what could [dare] prevent us from keeping in touch with the Minghui/Clearwisdom website?
