(Clearwisdom.net) The Sixth China-ASEAN was held in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from October 20 to 24, 2009. When a Falun Gong practitioner with a properly issued pass went through the security check, the message, "Confiscate this pass!" was displayed on the scanner. The practitioner's valid pass was confiscated.
The security people couldn't explain the incident. After inquiries, someone said that there was a "blacklist" of certain people that were to be prevented from visiting the Expo. Their passes were to be confiscated when they passed through the security check. However, when they paid for their passes, no one objected.
According to an officer on security duty at the Expo, "If there is such a 'blacklist,' it would only be known to a handful of people. Even police responsible for the Expo's security did not know the existence of this 'blacklist.'" He suspected that the practitioner's name was on the "blacklist."
The Chinese Communist regime deprives practitioners' of their basic human rights by tapping their telephones and monitoring their mail. They also employ other illegal methods to harass and persecute practitioners. As a matter of fact, practitioners are not the only victims, ordinary people also suffer.
An exporter from Zhejiang revealed that one of his colleagues had business dealings with an overseas practitioner. He was summoned by the state security police for questioning and was forced to cancel his orders. He suspected that police had secretly monitored his mail and telephone conversations.
At the moment, the Guangzhou Export Commodities Fair is underway. It is unknown if the same violation occurred there. We hope insiders in the know expose such illegal acts.
