(Clearwisdom.net) The Kuala Lumpur World Marching Band Competition 2009 (KLWMBC 2009) was held on December 15-19, 2009, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Divine Land Marching Band, composed of Falun Gong practitioners from Malaysia and Singapore, was invited to take part in the opening ceremony and street parade held at 9:00 p.m. on December 15 at the Golden Triangle in Jalan Bukit Bintang.

Divine Land Marching Band acts as Performance Ambassador at "Times Square," a shopping center

The KLWMBC is in its third year in Malaysia, attracting 25 bands from 12 countries. The organizer estimated that it drew 60,000 visitors. The Divine Land Marching Band stood out during the opening ceremony on the evening of December 15.

The street parade began at 9:00 p.m. The Divine Land Marching Band moved forward while performing "Falun Dafa Is Good." After the band passed by the guests' gallery, thousands of spectators, who packed both sides of the road, applauded and cheered. The Divine Land Marching Band also performed "Fa Drums and Fa Trumpets Shake the World in Ten Directions," "Ode to Joy," "Joy to the World," and other pieces.

The Divine Land Marching Band was invited to perform in the semi-final round held on the evening of December 17 at Stadium Bolasepak Kuala Lumpur, Cheras.

The band marched into the center of the competition venue after the host's introduction and performed several resounding music pieces. As soon as they finished their performance, the audience gave them applause and cheers. The organizer then invited the band to act as Performance Ambassador at "Times Square," a designated shopping center for the competition.
