(Clearwisdom.net) After seeing Divine Performing Arts (DPA) take the stage at the Stadsschouwburg theatre, Nigerian-born artist, Mr. Oluwadiren enthusiastically wanted to send a message to all the members of DPA, to encourage them. He said, "I would like to tell them to continue the way they do and to be steadfast!" Mr. Oluwadiren heads a multi-cultural organization and, "I came all the way from Hasselt to see this show, and I really enjoyed being here this evening!" It is 87 kilometers between the cities.

"It was a fantastic show! I really enjoyed it. The choreography, the 3D backdrop, it was fantastic. As a matter of fact I would like to see it again! When they have the opportunity to come back to Belgium I really would like to see the show again."

Mr. Oluwadiren felt the dancing, the technical parts and the content all worked well together. He especially liked, "Their message, and how they were able to really reflect the Chinese culture. I didn't expect less. I really enjoyed this show."

Mr. Oluwadiren's background as an artist and a cultural leader have made him especially sensitive to the performance. "I live in Belgium, although I'm originally from Nigeria. I'm an artist and I give art lessons here in Belgium. I am the president of a multicultural organization which promotes diverse cultures, tolerance and anything to do with integration. I also coordinate the House of Diversity. So everything I do is along the lines of promoting culture and artistic expression as an artist."

"I sincerely liked the costumes of the performers, the different colors and the flow of the materials. As an artist I appreciated every bit of the whole show. I hope that I can see DPA again whenever they will be coming back. I'm looking forward to that."

"Ultimate Perfection!"

"Ultimate perfection!" is how dance teacher Ms. De Deygere described DPA. "It's perfect, perfect, perfect!! Fantastic! The costumes, the performance, it's the ultimate!" exclaimed Ms. De Deygere, after seeing DPA for the very first time. Even though she had never seen the show before, she explained that she became so intrigued with it just from reading about it on the internet and looking at the flyers, that she invited several friends who accompanied her to see the show.

As a professional dance teacher, she said. "The movements are different. The jumps, for example." "They gave us a kind of feeling of . . . a kind of wellness. They have a message."

Emotionally Captivating

A mother and daughter amongst the audience loved every minute of Tuesday night's performance. Mrs. Molendijk, who is a folk dancer herself, loved, "The parts that were related to folk dance. They were most attractive for me, because I also do folk dance."

Her daughter Ms. Maes from Arnhem, Holland is a professional dance student. So she particularly appreciated the dances, "I really enjoyed the very feminine style of the female dancers. The elegance really surprised me. It was all very light, especially the female parts." But, she added, "The males were very powerful, that really drew one's attention. Those men really jumped several feet high, while turning in the air! Quite spectacular!"

Mrs. Molendijk said all the performances had a wow factor, right from the very first step, and that each dancer was as perfect as the next, she added, "What I found very beautiful was the perfection in which the performances were executed. From the very first beat on - it was really like . . .Wow!"

Her daughter added, "But there were also parts that were quite intense, and certainly for those who are familiar with the Chinese culture - I myself am not an expert - but people that really know about it will really be moved by it, I think, because these are very profound stories and you could see the dancers were also quite emotional, passionate [about them]. I also liked that."

Ms. Molendijk said, "It is very clear that they want to show their culture, especially the ancient culture, the real culture, the profound culture, and the culture of many centuries. Absolutely!"

Ms. Maes shared that she was also quite moved by the performances that touched upon the on-going persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. "I found these emotionally quite captivating . . . those parts that disassociate themselves from the totalitarian regime. Absolutely!"
