Persecution of Mr. Zhu Zuoxin from Zhejiang Province

March 20, 2009

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhu Zuoxin is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. At the end of 1999, he was sent to a forced labor camp for one year because he refused to renounce Falun Dafa. At the beginning of 2001, he was arrested again and sent to the Shiliping Forced Labor Camp for three years. Later on, his term was extended for another year. In the forced labor camp, he was inhumanly tortured. He had been hung up on a door frame for two months, during which he was not let down to use the bathroom or sleep at night. Every day, the camp only gave him about 4 oz leftover rice to eat. He was tied on a tiger bench for several days. The guards forced fed him with cold water and dropped irritating oil into his eyes. Finally, he was sent to a hospital for emergency treatment after he had no pulse and no breath.

On February 9, 2001, a practitioner went to visit Mr. Zhu Zuoxin. A man in the same village informed the police. Wang Jingui, the former head of politics and security section of Jiangbei Police Sub-bureau in Jinhua City, led two policemen to search Mr. Zhu Zuoxin's home. Because they did not have a search warrant, Mr. Zhu did not allow them to search. Wang forcibly pulled the drawers open, saw Falun Dafa books and audio tapes and tried to grab them. However, Mr. Zhu did not let him reach the books but took them back, carried them to the outside room and handed them to his grandmother. Wang Quangui and another policeman handcuffed Mr. Zhu's hands behind his back and pushed him into a police vehicle.

Wang Quangui went back to the room and deceived Mr. Zhu's grandmother. He said: "If you burn the books and tapes. We will let your grandson go." She believed him and burnt a set of lecture tapes and several Falun Dafa books. After Wang saw that his plot succeeded, he turned back, got into the vehicle and left. He did not let Mr. Zhu go at all.

Mr. Zhu's grandmother was severely traumatized. Since then, she was absentminded and so disheartened that she fell sick and suffered asthma. Her health got worse and worse. On April 25, 2004, she passed away. Before she died, she worried about her grandson who was detained in the forced labor camp. After she died, Mr. Zhu's family members requested to visit him. However, the Shiliping Forced Labor Camp did not let them visit Mr. Zhu and blocked all information. Mr. Zhu did not know his grandmother passed away until he was released.

One of the persecution means employed by Shiliping Forced Labor Camp is to confine in a small cell for a long time. In 2000, Mr. Zhu Zuoxin had been confined in a small cell for 62 days. In 2001, he was confined in a small cell for 207 days and hospitalized for 18 days. In January 2002, Mr. Zhu appealed to the Zhejiang Province Supreme People's Court. However the court did not accept his appeal.

On the night of June 5, 2005, Mr. Zhu was stopped by a police patrol vehicle. Because he carried flyers about Falun Gong with him, he was taken to the Dongguan Police Station. The Jindong District National Security Team went to search Mr. Zhu's home. When the police ransacked the home, Mr. Zhu and his family members were not on there. The police did not leave a list of what they took away. It was learned later that they took away Mr. Zhu Zuoxin's identification card, drivers license and bank books, etc.
