(Clearwisdom.net) The three-day Berlin Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 World Tour performances at the Friedrichstadtpalast music venue came to a close on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. The audience showed its appreciation with warm applause throughout the show.
Mr. Nedelescu, renowned Romanian tenor, was deeply moved by the musical component of Shen Yun during its final show in Germany for the 2009 world tour. "I'm very touched, I am leaving with a lot of music in my soul and my heart. Tonight's show has touched us deeply."
Mr. Nedelescu, renowned Romanian tenor, was deeply moved by Shen Yun
Born in Bucharest, Romania, Mr. Nedelescu began his musical education at the
age of five. This included learning the piano and singing for the Bucharest
children's radio and in the children's choir. He then moved to Germany in 1984,
where he continued his involvement in the music industry to become a renowned
tenor.
During the show, Mr. Nedelescu had the pleasure of watching another tenor, Mr.
Hong Ming, sing "Calmness in Knowing," a solo performance. Mr.
Nedelescu said, "It had a good feeling. No matter what the singer sings,
the tenor presented great skill in his art, not only from the viewpoint of the
singing, but also from his wisdom and from his human side. The Chinese people
should be proud of him. He has an outstanding voice. I truly liked him
tremendously, and will personally congratulate him tonight if I have the chance
to meet him."
Mr. Nedelescu also recognized what the performance was bringing to the people,
"Today's performance showed much humanity, much truth that came from the
heart and from feeling. The audience responded well to this. This evening
brought much to our psyche. I hope that the tradition of the Chinese people
continues to be on the path of truth. One must always learn to call truth by its
real name. Everyone should aspire to bring out the best in everyone else."
During the VIP reception after the show, which Mr. Nedelescu attended, he found
the opportunity to meet Mr. Hong Ming. To express his thanks, he spontaneously
broke out in song with Mr. Hong, an impromptu rendition of the Italian folk
song, "O Sole Mio." The other VIP's were delighted and applauded
heartily. It truly was a beautiful finale for the Shen Yun artists on their 2009
tour.
On leaving, Mr. Nedelescu thanked and congratulated the performers, "I
congratulate you again for a successful evening. For me this was truly special.
I lack words to describe it. One never can truly describe the stories, the
entire art in words, or in the way it was presented to the audience. Unique. I'm
delighted that I could be present."
Tenor Mr. Hong Ming's voice was a rare find, said the head of an opera singers agency, Mr. Mogilevets.
Professional singer Mr. Alexander Mogilevets
"Super, fantastic. A tenor of his caliber, one can only find once in a rare while--anywhere in the world." Mr. Mogilevets is a professional singer himself, with a long association in the world of opera. He was especially struck by the voice quality of Mr. Hong, likening his voice to that of great Italian operatic singers, Giacomini and Caruso. "Hong Ming is perfect and sounds like a Giacomini, truly reminiscent of him. The voices are similar. His vocal powers, with good high notes. ... Good voices cannot be described," Mr. Mogilevets said.
Ms. Tatiana Korovina, a renowned soprano, who had sung in the Vienna State Opera as Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute, was glad she had come to the Shen Yun performance.
Ms. Tatiana Korovina, a renowned soprano
"I enjoyed it very much. It is of a high quality. One can
see that there is a lot of effort behind it. These are very professional
dancers. One cannot do something like this if one is an amateur. One can see
that immediately. The costumes were very beautiful as well. One will think quite
a bit about the choreography, and the content a lot. The entire stage picture
[the 3-D digital backdrops] ... I find that very good," Ms. Korovina said.
As a singer, she shared, "I think that from the material alone, from the
voice, they are all very good, and then of course they bring forth substance.
However, the European audience members might be more used to hearing a known
piece from a singer they know, and traditional Chinese singing is a little more
difficult ... but it reaches the audience. It is nice that as a listener, one
can recognize the differences."
Ms. Korovina added, "I noticed many messages. I cannot say that there was
only one message. Overall, there were quite a lot [of messages]. Maybe all
things considered, that good will prevail in the end, yes one can say it like
that."
She gleaned some musical inspiration from the show and said, "Most
certainly the fantasy has been awakened. Maybe one will learn something and look
up what was not understandable. But one will [leave] this concert with thoughts,
with memories."
