(Clearwisdom.net) On March 1 2009, the Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organized a large parade on Padang Island close to Singapore, to support the 50 million Chinese who have withdrawn from the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. The Divine Land Marching Band from Singapore and Malaysia also joined the parade. In the parade were many banners reading, "Spread the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and Dissolve the Communist Party," "5000 Years of Civilization and 50 Years of Tyranny," and, "Support the 50 Million Chinese Who Have Quit the CCP."

The parade stepped off at 2:00 in the afternoon, the Divine Land Marching Band leading the procession. Many passersby and local Malays and Chinese were drawn to the parade.

The hundred-member band in blue uniforms was very eye-catching and the music was both impressive and pleasant. Also included in the parade was a waist drum team. The waist drum rhythms and the band's music resonated, transforming the usually quiet island into a bustling place. Volunteers from the Service Center for Quitting the CCP passed out informational materials at street crossings. Many local residents heard about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong for the first time and were very upset with the CCP.

It was a very hot afternoon. The procession marched seven kilometers under the hot sunshine, and the musicians were soaked in sweat. Right before evening, the weather suddenly changed. A thunderstorm poured down heavy rains from dark clouds. People ran to shelters but the band continued their performance, ignoring the rain and thunderclaps. They played "Falun Dafa Is Good," "Drums and Trumpets Shake the World in Ten Directions," and, "Presenting the Treasure." The spectators were moved by both the music and their perseverance and gave the band warm applause. Soon, the storm was over and the sun reappeared. The parade completed successfully at 5:00 p.m.
