(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong has spread its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance around the world. Billions of people benefit from it. They recover from sickness and mental disorders, and, most importantly, they step on the path to return to their origin. After Jiang Zemin and his hoodlum regime started to persecute the practice in1999, millions of families have been persecuted. Ms. Chen Guihua and her family from Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, is just one example.

Ms. Chen Guihua, 56, was employed by Pingdingshan Transportation Inc. She used to have many illnesses and needed help to walk up and down stairs. Her temper became worse and worse, and she got into arguments with her husband over small things. Dafa was introduced to her through a friend in1997, and since then, her moods have softened, and she has become peaceful. She also no longer took fame and personal gain so seriously, and her marriage became harmonious. Within a month, all of the illnesses which she couldn't find a cure for despite seeing many doctors magically disappeared. For the first time in her life, she enjoyed the feeling of being free from illness. It shocked her doctors and her relatives. They all witnessed this amazing cultivation and witnessed Dafa saving Ms. Chen and her almost broken family. Since then, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance has been rooted in their hearts.

The CCP started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. Ms. Chen started clarifying the truth to others, and, as a result, was persecuted many times. She was arrested by officers from the Jianshelu Police Station in late 1999. The police used deceit and threats to force her to write a guarantee statement. She was later released after several hundred yuan was extorted from her by the police. In late 2000, while she was distributing truth clarification flyers, she was caught and arrested by officers from the Weidong District Police Department and taken to Pingdingshan City No. 1 Detention Center. They later ransacked her home.

In the detention center, she was tortured for three months, and 50,000 yuan was extorted from her. She was put her through many trials. She didn't have a bed to sleep on at night and had to sleep on the cold, wet floor. In order to resist the persecution, Ms. Chen and fellow practitioners started a hunger strike. The police subsequently physically abused them and force-fed them. They were handcuffed, forced to wear signs (with abusive language) around their necks, and they were forced to walk with other inmates on the street to be humiliated. When she tried to resist being paraded with a sign hanging around her neck, she was slapped in the face by police.

Before the Olympics, the CCP persecution of Falun Gong worsened. Practitioners and their families' ordinary lives were severely disturbed. At around 1:40 p.m. on May 18, 2008, under the lead of a Weidong District police officer Han (deputy chief) and 610 Office Director Han Haisheng, around seven or eight people from the Wuyi Road Neighborhood Office broke into Ms. Chen's home. They ransacked it and took a computer, a printer, a pot, electronic devices, televisions, and many other valuable items. They also wanted to arrest Ms. Chen. They posted warrants for her arrest everywhere in her neighborhood.

Ms. Chen was forced to leave home to avoid arrest. Her family and relatives were harassed to different degrees. The police worked with the employers of her family members to suspend all of them from their jobs. They threatened her family multiple times for harboring a criminal. They tried to force her family to betray her, tapped their cellphones, and followed their daily movements.
