April 21, 2009

(Clearwisdom.net) Chinese Communist Party officials in Zhucheng City, Shandong Province, including the head of the Zhucheng City Municipal Committee, Zou Qingzhong, recently had the Taojialing Dongjiao School remodeled. In addition, the outer wall was structurally reinforced. As it turns out, the school was remodeled into a full-fledged prison camp at Zou's orders. Zou is also in charge of the persecution of Falun Gong.

On March 30-31, 2009, the Zhucheng City Municipal Committee, along with the Political and Judiciary Committee, the 610 Office, and officers from the Zhucheng City Police Department, illegally arrested over 20 practitioners in their local area.

At approximately 7:00 p.m. on March 30, 2009, a group of officers led by Chen Hong from the Chenguan Police Station tried to break into Ms. Dong Yuehua's home, which is located in Lianghe Village, but she refused to open the door. Three hours later, a riot squad arrived and broke in. Ms. Dong was arrested and her residence was ransacked.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on March 30, 2009, Ms. Liu Honghua, an employee of the Electric Bureau, was tricked into opening the door of her residence. Four police officers immediately rushed in and kicked and punched Zhang Xinming and Ms. Liu's son, a non-practitioner. Then they dragged her away.

At 9:00 a.m. on March 31, 2009, Mr. Guo Rufeng was arrested. One hour later, Ms. Wang Xiuying, a retired employee of the Zhucheng City Tobacco Company, had her home broken into by three plainclothes police officers, who arrested her. She was later taken to the Zhucheng City Brainwashing Center.

On March 31, 2009, Ms. Li Lanqin, an employee of the Zhucheng City Industrial and Commercial Bank, was arrested at her workplace and later taken to the local brainwashing center.

On the morning of March 31, 2009, a plainclothes police officer went to Ms. Gao Jinfang's home, located in Baiyushanzi Village, under the pretense of looking for a room to rent. When her child came home from school, seven or eight officers lying in ambush suddenly burst into Ms. Gao's home and arrested her. When her family members tried to stop the officers from arresting her, the officers shouted at them. Fan, the leader of the National Security Division, ordered the officers to ransack Ms. Gao's home. Although the officers did not find any Dafa materials, they still took her away.

At approximately 4:00 p.m on April 3, 2009, Ms. Song Zhengyun and her youngest daughter, Xu Chao, both residents of Wulibao, Zhucheng City, were arrested by officers from the Mizhou Road Police Station.

In 2008, over twenty practitioners in Zhucheng City were sentenced to forced labor, and several have been detained. Ms. Liu Xiumei from Shunwang Street was tortured to death at a local detention center. Ms. Wang Jinxiu from the Dianzi District was forced to jump from a third story window and suffered compound fractures in her legs.

Ms. Liu Xixiang from the Baiyushanzi District was arrested by Wang Peibiao, the section chief of the Zhucheng City Police Department, along with Director of the Mizhou Road Police Station Zhang Shiyong, Director of the Shunwang Street Police Station Wang Zhixian, and police officer Song Wei.

Ms. Liu was taken to the Foreign Trade Hotel, where she was restrained in a metal chair and deprived of sleep for over 20 days. While confined to the chair, officers beat and forced-fed her, and tortured her by putting electric lights very close to her eyes. After being in the metal chair for so long, her legs became extremely swollen. When she was released, she was unable to walk and had to be taken to the local hospital. The doctor who examined her told her that the blood circulation in her lower limbs was severely compromised.

In order to avoid being arrested and persecuted, some practitioners in Zhucheng City left their homes. Local officials then distributed their photos to every community in their area. A comprehensive investigation ensued, where city personnel went to the practitioners' homes, their children's schools, and their relatives' homes in an effort to locate these practitioners. They also tried to bribe the practitioners' neighbors and classmates to try to locate and arrest them.
