Toronto, Canada: "Truth Wall" Inspires Support (Photos)

April 27, 2009

(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on April 24, several hundred Falun Dafa practitioners and their supporters rallied outside the Chinese Consulate in Toronto to commemorate the "April 25th Appeal" and protest the decade-long brutal persecution of the practice.

From 4 -6 p.m., in front of the consulate, the practitioners formed a "Truth Wall" at Bloor Street and St. George to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa. Many passersby signed their names to condemn the persecution and express their full support for Dafa.

Passersby learn about the persecution

A doctor said: "Upon seeing persecution death cases of children, I find it is so unbelievable. The Chinese government is so inhumane. I am a doctor and my job is to save people's lives. However, that regime is killing people. What can I do for you? I want to share this information with all the people that I know so they can also voice their support. Best wishes to you!"

Another doctor from the University of Toronto conducts research on religious freedom. After signing his name on the petition, he said: "Everyone has the right to protect his or her belief. The Chinese Communist regime should stop the persecution. I wish you a success!"

One man signed the petition and said: "I know that practitioners have been persecuted very brutally in China. I support them and I am also learning the practice." He left his contact information and asked the practitioners to email him practice information.

Another man encountered the Truth Wall and said: "I heard about Falun Gong before. However, I didn't know that the persecution has lasted 10 years. It has been so long and so brutal. I just learned from the banners that practitioners' organs have been harvested. This is too brutal and such atrocities must be stopped immediately."
