(Clearwisdom.net) Under the pretext of last year's Beijing Summer Olympics, CCP officials in Weifang had intensely persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. The key officials are Zhang Xinqi, Head of Weifang City Communist Party Committee; Jie Weijin, Head of Weifang Politic and Law Committee; and Huang Weilan, head of Weifang 610 Office and head of the Weifang Police Department.

According to Minghui website records, 162 Falun Gong practitioners from the Weifang region were sentenced to prison or sent to forced labor in 2008 alone: 24 of them to prison, and 138 to forced labor. The longest prison term was 14 years. Among the 138 people serving forced labor, 42 are from Weifang City; 22 from Linqu County; 20 from Zhuchen City; 19 from Shouguang City; 16 from Gaomi City; 9 from Anqiu City and 10 from Changle, Qingchou and other areas.

The following are facts about the 24 practitioners serving prison terms:

1. Mr. Lu Fan, around 55, was from Tangwu Town, Changle County, Weifang City. He was seized in the end of October 2007 and held at the Changle Detention Center and was sentenced to four years in prison in March 2008. Lu Fan had previously been sent to three years of forced labor in 2001.

2. Mr. Wang Xueyun, 62 years old, was from Gaojiaxiapo Village, Shitui Town, Anqiu City. He was arrested at his home on October 13, 2007 and held in the Anqiu Detention Center and sentenced to five years in prison in 2008. Wang Xueyun had previously been sent to three years of forced labor in 2003.

The following individuals are all from Anqui City, unless otherwise noted

3. Ms. Guo Jianying, 41 years old, lived at the teachers' apartment complex. She was arrested at her home on November 2, 2007, and her home was raided. She was later held at the Anqiu Detention and sentenced to seven years in prison in 2008.

4. Mr. Dong Zhaocai, over 30 years old, was a teacher at the Qingyun Institute in Anqui. On November 14, 2007, police came to Qingyun Institute and questioned the principal as to whether Mr. Dong still practiced Falun Gong. The principal refused to answer. Police then went to Mr. Dong's home. They arrested Dong and his wife, Wang Jinxiang, and raided their home. Dong Zhaocai was sentenced seven years in prison in 2008. His wife was sent to forced labor.

5. Mr. Dong Zhaosheng (Dong Zhaocai's brother), was from Zhongshanbeitou Village, Dasheng Town. He was arrested at home on November 19, 2007 and his home was raided. He was sentenced seven years in prison in 2008.

6. Mr. Wang Peizhi, 59 years old, was from Hanjiahou Village. Around 8:00 am, March 1, 2008, more than 20 police officers broke into his daughter Wang Xiaomin's home where Wang Peizhi stayed. They tied Wang Peizhi and his daughter (Wang Xiaomin) with ropes and took them away. They also raided the home and took away many belongings. Wang Peizhi's eight-year-old grandson was at home and witnessed everything. He was scared and cried loudly. Almost at the same time, his son-in-law Li Zhiguang was also arrested at his workplace. Wang Peizhi and Li Zhiguang were sentenced 10 years in prison in 2008. Wang Peizhi had previously been sent to three years of forced labor in 2000. He was eventually bailed out for medical treatment when the brutal conditions in the labor camp endangered his life.

7. Mr. Li Zhiguang, around 30 years old, had worked at the Anqiu City Power Plant. He was arrested at work on March 1, 2008 and sentenced to ten years in prison.

8. Ms. Liu Qingmei, 50 years old, was from Daxiape Village, Zhidui Town. She was arrested at home at 8:00 a.m. on March 1, 2008 and taken to Jinan City Prison. Liu Qingmei had been arrested and tortured several times before for her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She had previously been sentenced to12 years in prison in 2002.

9. Ms. Wang Haiqing, 45 years old, lived at the Anqui City Flour Factory residential dorm. Around 11:00 a.m. on May 12, 2008, police arrested six practitioners including Wang Haiqing, Li Mingxia and Lin Shuzen were arrested at Chengpei Villiage. Police Li Shenghua from Anqiu Police Department and Dong Lifang from Chengpei Police Station were involved in the arrest. Police officer Dong Lifang viciously held Wang Haiqing on the ground, severely hurting her back, causing extreme pain and in incontinence. Wang Haiqing was carried into the Anqiu court on September 23, 2008. She received court documents on October 8, 2008, stating she was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

10 Ms. Li Mingxia, 50 years old, was arrested around 11:00 a.m. on May 12, 2008 and was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

11. Ms. Lin Shuzhen, 40 years old, was arrested around 11:00 a.m. on May 12, 2008 and was sentenced 10 years in prison.

12. Mr. Li Tianmin, 40 years old, used to live in Weifang City where he was formerly in charge of the Falun Gong practice site. On October 11, 2007, police seized Li Tianmin and his wife Lou Hongmei. At the same time, his brother-in-law Lou Xianzhong and his wife were also arrested. Lou Hongmei and Lou Xianzhong were later sent to forced labor. Li Tianmin was held at the Weifang Detention Center. On August 19, 2008 Kuiwen District Court agents sentenced him to nine years in prison. Li Tianmin had previously been arrested around July 20, 1999 and had detained until he was sentenced four years in prison in February 2000. He was incarcerated at the Weibei Prison.

13. Mr. Wang Xiaoshen, 44 years old, was a teacher in Weifang City Information Technology Institute. Kuiwen District Court agents sentenced him to five years in prison on August 19, 2008. Wang Xiaoshen had previously been sent to three years of forced labor in June 2001 in Qingdao City.

14. Mr. Li Jinzhong, 55 years old, was from Shouguang City. Kuiwen District Court agents sentenced him to four years in prison on August 19, 2008. Li Jinzhing had previously been sent to three years of forced labor in the Changle County in December 2000.

15. Mr. Gao Jilong, 35 years old, was from Weifangg City. Kuiwen District Court agents sentenced him to three years in prison on August 19, 2008. Gao Jilong had already been sentenced to three years in prison in September 2002.

These practitioners were seized prior to the Beijing Summer Olympics and had been held for a long period of time. Shouguang Court agents commenced a covert trial on November 25, 2008 and sentenced these individuals: Zhang Zhaoyu, 14 years; You Huifu, 12 years; Zhao Suyan, 11 years; Zhao Suhong, 10 years; Han Lianfeng, 10 years; Yang Ruiying, 8 years; Dong Hong, 6 years; You Yunsheng, 6 years; and Li Suzhen, 4 years.
