(Clearwisdom.net) On May 9, 2009, US Congressman Ted Poe proclaimed May 13, 2009, as a day to recognize World Falun Dafa Day, and the insurmountable contributions made by Falun Dafa to the community.
Proclamation
I hereby declare a Proclamation on this day, the 9th of May, in the year 2009, in honor of World Falun Dafa Day in Houston hosted by Southern USA Falun Dafa Association; and
Whereas, The Falun Dafa, also known as the Falun Gong, is a cultivated practice rooted in ancient Asian culture and strives to assist people reach a state of tranquility and harmony in their lives; and
Whereas, The wisdom of Falun Dafa teaches through gentle movements and meditation motivated to purify the minds and uplift the spirits of people while improving their overall health; and
Whereas, Master Li Hongzhi, founder of Falun Dafa, has worked tirelessly to bridge the gap between the East and West and convey Falun Dafa from China to the rest of the world; and
Whereas, The Falun Dafa's efforts have touched the lives of countless people both physically and mentally enriching their lives; and
Now, Therefore I, Ted Poe, Member of Congress, representing the 2nd Congressional District of Texas, do hereby proclaim May 13, 2009, as a day to recognize World Falun Dafa Day, and the insurmountable contributions made to the community.
