(Clearwisdom.net) "Clarifying the truth," and saving sentient beings is a Dafa practitioner's historic mission, it is also a process for us to cultivate ourselves, and eliminate numerous unhealthy attachments. I would like to describe my experience of clarifying the truth face to face.

I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who grew up in a favorable environment. I always strived to be number one and was very sensitive about my reputation. It has not been easy for me to initiate conversations with strangers, and in order to save sentient beings, I needed to break through this. When I first began clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to others, I never looked at them. Once we began a conversation I continued with a prepared speech, and didn't really consider what they were thinking. Of course you can imagine the results. I felt, "It won't work this way, I have to correct myself." When I looking inward, I found that I wasn't using compassion to save people, I was too worried about saving face and just did it for the sake of finishing a job. After a period of Fa study I truly understood the urgency of saving sentient beings. If we don't save them, they will be eliminated, and then it will be too late for us to regret.

Once I realized this, the situation changed. Whenever I meet people, I initiate a conversation with a smile, "You look very kind, so I would like to tell you a great thing that will protect you from harm." Most people will be curious and want to listen, so I continue, "We all joined the Young Pioneers and Youth Leagues when we were young. They are all part of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and the party has done numerous bad deeds, become corrupt and rotten, and its members enjoy gluttonous eating, drinking, visiting prostitutes, and gambling. Therefore, heaven will eliminate it. As long as we want to quit the CCP and related organizations from the bottom of our heart, we will be saved, the buddhas and gods will protect you." Most people gladly accept this advice and tell me their names to quit the party.

I continue, "Falun Gong teaches people to abide by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and it has been spread to over one hundred countries around the world, and so many people have benefited greatly from it both physically and mentally. But our government defames and slanders Falun Dafa. They staged the so called "Self-Immolation" and they murder to deceive people. As long as you recite sincerely, "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good," you will benefit from it. Most people will acknowledge this, accept it, and be thankful.

Truth clarification doesn't always go so smoothly, but no matter what the person's attitude, we have to treat them with compassion. It is easier to eliminate the evil that controls them and save them when our compassion is strong. One day when I was clarifying the truth with a student, a vicious looking middle-aged man kept staring at me, I went over to say hi, "Hello Sir, do I know you?" He replied "No." I said, " It looks like you are a leader of some sort." He said, "I am a policemen, aren't you afraid that I'll arrest you?" I thought that he might be aware that I am a Dafa practitioner. My heart sunk, but I immediately realized that fear was not me, and I had to eliminate it. No matter what kind of career he had, I should still save him. I adjusted my mentality and spoke with more compassion, "There are kind people among the police force, so I would like to tell you this great thing, and I hope you will have peace and happiness." His attitude changed, and after I explained the facts to him, he happily agreed to quit the CCP using his real name.

Another time, I was clarifying the truth to a middle-aged woman, but when I talked about quitting the CCP, she became quite upset, "The CCP gave you food and drink, and you are against the CCP, I think you have too much time on your hands." I smiled and said, "Aunt, don't be upset. What I tell you is a heavenly secret, it is God's will. There is a huge stone from Zhangbu Township scenic district in Guizhou Province which broke in half, and inside was discovered six naturally formed characters, "Eliminate Chinese Communist Party." This is an apocalypse from heaven. I don't care for the CCP but I care for you and your safety." After she heard my explanation, she understood the truth and quit the youth league.

During the process of clarifying the truth, we should pay attention to cultivating ourselves. We will then be able to eliminate many attachments, fear, show-off mentality, oversensitivity, suspiciousness, lust, etc. When we do well in cultivation, it becomes easier to do truth clarification. We may see twice the results with half the effort.
